1 /5 Narsamah Besoonat: This is the most UNPROFESSIONAL salon ever. I made an appointment for 4/5/24 and I paid 40$ as a deposit to hold my appointment plus I was taxed $1.80 when no service was provided, but I let it go although I was a bit annoyed. So the day before my appointment I called to ask if I can reschedule my appointment, Mayra said, āno I canāt not change my appointment, and if I choose to I would loose my depositā. Although, I know at most places when a deposit is set to hold an appointment you have 24 hours to make any changes to it- I also let that slide. I told her that okay I donāt have a babysitter can I bring my daughter, as she does not allow children in her salon, which I respected, the reason why I asked. She says āokay, you can bring herā. I thanked her and told her I would see her tomorrow. However, the Mayra calls about an hour before my appointment and was like they have a sewage issue and that I can not come to my appointment, that I would have to use the back door and I would not be able to bring my baby, I said thatās fine can I reschedule my appointment? She goes,āyes you can but you will loose your depositā, so I said to her, āI am willing to make my appointment, you are the one canceling on me, why would I loose my deposit ? She then told me to come today, 4/6/24 at 11. When I arrived, no one knew why was I there asking for Mayra because she DOES NOT WORK ON A SATURDAY !! I was livid!! I told them to return me my deposit. So I said to the receptionist that I was charged $1.80 for tax on service that was not provided, I want ALL of my money, she goes well I have to wait until Monday for that when Mayra gets back. At that point, I was SO ANGRY, I told her give me my 40$ so I can go, (which she did).
Honesty, Iām not sure if she lied because she didnāt want me to bring my child, but I dont recommend anyone to this nail salon, unless you want to deal with money hungry, greedy people not to mention the disgusting attitude. I used to go to this salon when they just opened a few years back, and they were good, but I guess when a nail tech gets a lot of business, they feel as though they are doing you a favor for free.
Also, this was not the first time this has happened which is why I stopped going. The customer service stinks, and Mayra is not very welcoming. Go at your own discretion!!
