1 /5 Frances Grassl: You decide: o brought my car to Mike to have the air-conditioning fixed. I told Mike that I would turn the air on, it would get cold, and then it would switch to bring in the air from the outside. This would bring in warm air. When I went to pick up my car, Mike said that he could not replicate the problem and it was $188.10 for labor to run some tests. A couple of days later, I stopped at MC auto and asked Mike if he would go for a ride with me so I could show him the problem. He did, and said to bring in the car on Thursday. When I brought it in on Thursday, he called me back and said that he could not get the part locally, he would have to order it. Could I bring the car back on Monday. I did. I told them that I needed it by 3:30 as I was golfing in my league. My husband, Paul at 1:41 and they said that they were bringing the car in right then. 33 minutes later, Mike text me and said the car was ready. On the website that says they are open till 5:30 but when I got there at 3:30, they were all locked up and my keys were not in the car as they were supposed to be. Missed my league and had to forfeit. This bill was $268 and some cents. I asked Mike if he was going to give me any relief as the first labor bill did not fix the problem and he said no. He said he didn’t charge me for the driver around, I gave him, lol. I also gave him the part number he needed from a previous repair. Over $460 for a repair that took 33 minutes. Over it. Found a new service garage…

5 /5 Guy Marino: I have been going to MC Auto for over 15 years. They are a small family run business that runs a fair, honest shop. Their prices are in line with other local shops, their work is solid, and their customer service is pretty good for a small shop (don’t expect fancy accommodations while you wait and a customer service rep that will smooth talk you). They give it to you straight. Mike (owner/operator) is as honest as you get. They go out of their way to help you and if you think the price is too high, just ask, “Why?” Mike will be happy to break it down for you. I’m a building contractor and I want my equipment to run well and last long. MC Auto gives me quality and value.

1 /5 Josh Adams: Went there based on reputation to get my brakes looked at, told me I needed a few thousand dollars in parts and labor. They wanted over $300 just to do my front pads and rotors but recommended calipers too. Local competitors have a brake special for $125 for pads and rotors -with a lifetime warranty-. It would have cost me hundreds more in parts and labor at MC with a 30-maybe 90 day warranty if Im lucky. Plus my back brakes needed to be serviced, they were just going to replace everything to be safe, but to be fair I probably would too, now Im up to $1200 or more in labor and parts, A couple days later I took a family member over there to have their catalytic converter checked. Mc auto said that they looked at it previously and hooked it up to their code reader but they needed to recheck it to make sure what part they needed, so they charged them again to physically look at it, took (5 min). They didnt know we had it looked at by a local parts dealer and found out it was just a sensor. MC auto said they would have to replace the entire part which would have cost hundreds of dollars for the catalytic alone not including labor. Then they changed their story once we showed them the results from the parts dealer and said "you know what, your inspections still good for awhile and your check engine light isnt on, I wouldnt worry it right now because its a very expensive job". They were ready to charge my family member hundreds of dollars in parts and labor, close to a thousand $ over a simple sensor that wasnt even triggering a check engine light. Side note, I got all the parts I needed to do everything they recommended for my front and rear brakes for the price that they were going to charge me just to do my front pads and rotors. A penny saved is a penny earned.
