Kristi Gillen I moved to nyc from south FL a few years ago and was so lucky to find Kristen!! It was very important for me to find someone who was not only talented but also prioritized the health of my hair. I’ve been highlighting my hair for years and the frequent maintenance can take a toll. Kristen and her team are careful to keep it looking fresh and healthy which is why I keep going back :)

Mary Wood Shu explained what would look best with my head and face shape. He was careful and took his time to do a very technically correct and stylish cut. I am very pleased.

Danielle Ruff I am often picky with my blowouts/hair stylists and I was very pleased with my services here! I got a blowout with Leah before my birthday party, and felt super confident, with a lot of my friends complimenting my hair. She is a true professional, along with the rest of the staff. Highly recommend!

Julia Megibow Dolson I will try to make this review short and sweet as I know long one can be daunting, but let me tell you that I feel like I have FINALLY found my new salon and stylist in the Upper East Side. As we all know, especially those of us that color our hair, finding a good salon and a good stylist can be quite a journey. I had been to several other salons in the neighborhood and some I would stay at for a few months, but then something would happen that would cause me to look elsewhere. I came in on a Sunday and Giuseppe was my stylist. I said to him only a few simple things - half head of highlights and blended and he went to work. i dont know how he did it or if he is a psychic, but it was like he read my mind and gave me exactly what I wanted and I AM THRILLED. I feel like only really good and amazing stylists can take a little information and make it amazing. He also has such a strong passion for hair coloring and the art of it. He thoroughly enjoys his work and making people happy by giving them exactly what they want and you can tell as it was very much reflected in his work and personality. Also the Living room hair salon is HUGE and just beautiful! I dont think I have been to a salon that clean, organized and spacious since I lived in California! Seriously - if you want a wonderful experience with wonderful stylists - look no further as The Living Room Hair Salon is IT.

Georgia Little I have been coming to Alex for years and I wish I found him sooner! Before I found Alex it was hard to find someone who was consistent with my highlights. Every time I walk in I know I am going to leave loving my hair. Even if I wasn’t happy with the highlights I know he would stay however long it took to get it right. He once did my hair on Christmas at 6 am!!! He cares about all of his clients and always goes above and beyond to make sure they are taken care of. He listens to what his clients want and is consistent. If you come to the salon you will see every chair filled and it’s for a reason. He is a great listener, professional, knowledgeable, and a hard worker. You won’t regret coming to Alex.

Mimi Forsythe I stumbled upon Wind Hair Salon through Classpass a few years ago and the haircut Kiji gave me was the best I’d had in 15+ years living in New York. I’ve been going back ever since for cuts and highlights and am always happy with the results. I couldn’t recommend them more highly!

ZaharoZee iCloud Zelda is an absolute wonder. She was my first balayage experience and has been for 3+ years now. Not only is she the most talented, honest and sweetest person I know, but her hair skills (or how I like to call it, her hair ART) is beyond expectation. Not to mention, her prices are considerably reasonable and fair for a salon in the heart of NYC. Highly recommend Zelda at All About Hair!!

Clint Borzoni Reina gave me the best haircut of my life. I told her what issues I had with my previous haircuts, and she was great at listening and understood the assignment. She was very detailed oriented and made all the right cuts. Most stylists want to cut too much off, but she did the perfect amount. The salon is lovely too, with friendly a front desk, and shampoo assistants. I highly recommended!!

Sherwood Callaway Mick at Green Room salon in NYC is an absolute pro! I’ve been getting my hair cut by him for multiple years now and followed him between studios. At some point, he suggested I try highlights… As a guy with short hair, I wasn’t sure how they would turn out, but Mick nailed it. He gave me a natural, low-maintenance look that still stands out. The vibe and staff at Green Room is super chill, and I really look forward to coming here every few months. Mick’s attention to detail of course is the real secret though. I’m a loyal customer and highly recommend!
