Engage Albany Church - Albany (NY)

Beth Hall I went to school here in the early to mid 70s when it was St. Patricks. I remember prayer, morning mass, Father Tremblay and Sister Rita. There were many great sisters and lay teachers. Trips to pick apples, playing in the school yard, CYO on 1st Street run by Mrs. Hennessy. So many memories!❤️

Shanet Fallen Ive been discharge on a regular its close to my house they offer pantry as far as baked goods canned goods breads sweets and on Wednesdays from 11:30 to 12:30 they serve lunch to the public which is awesome and during the holidays they help families in need which I have benefited from

Folks were extremely friendly after the service, which is always nice when youre the new person at a church. Hope to return, and see if this will be a good fit for me. Travis Connell The church experience was great! Coffee, snacks, and a fantastic energy! But what really got me was Kirsten from the kids side of the church. She was so welcoming and made my 2 year old feel so comfortable!! I can’t express how grateful I am for her. She was so kind and sweet while also being very cautious with the kids. Thank you Kirsten for making our first time there an amazing one.

Dakota This site of the present church was founded by Isaac Jogues, a prisoner of the Kanien’keha:ka, by creeping away from his captors at the Dutch barn which stood by the present church. St. Mary’s parish is the second oldest in New York State, being founded in 1796. St. Mary’s is preceded only by St Peter’s on Barclays Street in Manhattan which was founded in 1786.

Benny Babiyev A wonderful place where you always feel warmth and support! Here, you can find not only spiritual guidance but also become part of a friendly and caring community. The atmosphere is filled with love, and the services are truly inspiring. They also have amazing youth services, where young people can grow in faith, connect with others, and find encouragement. Grateful for the opportunity to be here!

As you can see from the pictures, the garden is immaculately maintained. Inside, the sanctuary has amazing architecture - I never get tired of looking at it! We often stop by for a few minutes of silent prayer/reflection and to light a candle. Just a wonderful place ❤️
