R B I have been taking my two cars to J & B Auto since it opened, and I’ve always received excellent service at a very reasonable cost. Both mechanics, Jim & Jim, are highly skilled, helpful, friendly and I always can rely on them to get the job done right, whether it’s routine service or a major problem. For unexpected problems that need immediate attention, they somehow find time for you and fix that problem as soon as their workload allows. They also provide you with an honest assessment of your problem and provide reasonable cost options. I recently had some routine service work done and was again very satisfied with the work that was completed.

hudson There is only one place I will take Scarlet, my 3 ton 1979 Ford Bronco Custom show truck. Thats the review: another shop put my gal on the back burner for more than a year and Uptown got me scheduled and out the door within 30 days. They also worked on one of my Mazdas, and they didnt mind at all that it isnt a show car. They gave me fair quotes for really great work, and if you care about attention to detail these folks are your kind of people. Gotta trail to go blaze, yall.

Martin Schlegel Stopped by bracket on my Tonneau broken . Owner stopped what he was doing repaired my bracket extremely friendly no charge. I hope I dont need their services but if the occasion comes Will positively be my First Choice Thanks Again.

Sajed Jalil This shop is an hidden gem. The fella who works there is so kind and never overcharges for anything. He even offered me a fix for free because it took only 2 minutes for him.

Blair Harris Rare high level hometown type service. I experienced an issue with my trunk latch module on the way to get my oil changed at Finish Line, which seemed to resolve itself. After my oil change the issue returned on my way home. I drove back and asked Brandon if he could take look at it. He worked on it for close to a half hour and refused to take any payment. Friendly, professional and honest. Outstanding service.

Matt Santee They did great work on my truck after an accident and now it looks brand new again. Their customer service is great. The receptionist is extremely easy to work with and very helpful. It was also nice that I was called once a week to give me an update on the status of my truck. The interior and exterior of my truck were also cleaned (which I was not expecting) and they did an awesome job! I would highly recommend coming here to have work done.

Nicole McCormick Kevin fixed things on my sons Mazda 2009 that other mechanics in town said were electrical and they would not touch it. Kevin is honest and does not turn you away if he can do the job!! Saved me so much money!! SHOUT out to Kevin AGAIN and XL Auto, I am over the moon happy with the service I received there this time and many times prior that I did not write about. I went to another local mechanic, (my husband goes there so I was just going to get an inspection) I told them I think I need tires but not sure, and they said I needed wheel bearings on front tires. Thank God a friend sold me the car and I was able to speak to him and he said absolutely not one is brand new!! Thank God I took it to Kevin who confirmed the wheel bearings were good and I needed tires. I would have been out 700 dollars from the other mechanic, and I would have still had loud road noise which would have cost me another 500 dollars if I had just done what they said. I cant believe this mechanic is doing this to their customers. They have been in business for years in Canandaigua so disappointed and just sad that you still cant trust mechanics because I feel as though they get a bad rap sometimes. Kevin has been a constant at XL auto and I couldnt recommend him more.
