Lexie Sun I had my first-ever balayage today, and it was a fantastic experience! Lydia did an incredible job with the styling—she’s amazingly talented, professional, and attentive. She offered great suggestions and really took the time to listen to what I wanted. The entire team at the salon was welcoming and friendly, and the space itself is clean, comfortable, and inviting. I couldn’t be happier with the results! I’m already looking forward to my next visit. Definitely a 10/10 recommendation!

April Coffey This was my first time visiting Shear Ego and I am SO happy to have found Alyssa! I came in with terrible brassy, grown-out highlights from another salon that I needed fixed. Alyssa lightened them to a beautiful fresh blonde and added some lowlights that all match perfectly with my skin tone. She worked efficiently but still took her time with me and my hair looks and feels so healthy and beautiful! I will definitely be back. The best part is no one here tried to sell me anything else and before she started working she let me know the price so there were no surprises.

Nancy Powell My son’s mother in law made me an appointment with Harry to have my hair styled for his wedding. I had a wonderful experience! Harry asked if he could trim a little before styling, and it made such a difference! Harry is a talented stylist and a very nice man. I felt pretty after leaving his place and received many compliments on my hair at the reception that evening. Although I live more than an hour away, I am considering a trip to Rochester just to have another appointment with him. It would definitely be worth the trip!

Sadia Depta Great place. My hair was a mess when I first came in to meet my new stylist. Now my hair feels healthy again for the first time in a very long time! The hair products are of newly released premium brands. See the before, during & after pictures! I came in yellow and left a sexy Hollywood blonde!

Cohen Sprague This salon is absolutely incredible. Staff to owner, everyone is so unbelievably kind. Arley has been my stylist for awhile. He consistently provides detailed information on how to handle my hair and goes above and beyond to provide the extra information for all the little things that might bother me with my hair care even if its unrelated to what Im doing that day. He even gave wonderful advice to my girlfriend who wasnt a customer there at the time. Not to mention how incredibly affordable hair care is here compared to the area. All around I couldnt recommend another place in Rochester to find quality service! I will go here for my haircuts every time for as long as I can!

Heather Balonek I am very indecisive when it comes to my hair and color. Crystal took her time going through the book and comparing colors to my skin tone to make sure we achieved what I was looking for. We spent almost an hour looking and there was no rushing or pressure for me to decide! Pricing can be hard these days with hair services and she made sure the service was affordable and reasonable with amazing results. Her attention to detail on short hair cuts is also something that is very hard to find. She takes her time and knows the perfect cut that will look best with your face. 5 star service will look forward to coming back again.

Cori Smith Van is great! Her skills are phenomenal. She cuts my hair and my sons too. Weve gone to her for several years. Shes easy to schedule with and she has very reasonable prices. We highly recommend her!

Patti Holland I relocated back to the area and needed to find a new hair stylist, after a 13 yr relationship with my previous stylist. Some of you may appreciate how hard this can be! My hair is fine and as I’ve aged it has become a bit thinner and more wavy. I was growing out a chin length shaggy bob and wasn’t sure if I wanted to continue down that road or go shorter. Karlie was amazing to work with. She listened to me, asked questions to be clear on what I was looking for, played around with my hair to get a sense of its texture, etc. Together we decided on a short cut. She gave me an expert cut using a razor and I love my new style! It feels fresh, brings out its natural wave, is stylish and easy to care for. I highly recommend both Scott Miller salon and Karlie. I also had the most amazing facial with Christine. She took the time to listen to my concerns and expertly recommended an approach for the facial for my skin and its condition. I don’t think I’ve ever had a facial with someone so skilled and knowledgeable. She ended with a neck massage that soothed my stiff neck. It was such a renewing treatment. My skin looks and feels wonderful and I have a plan for my aging skin going forward that I feel comfortable with and is manageable for me.
