South Baton Rouge Church of Christ

Nathan LaValley Extremely loving people. When I moved into town they helped me get situated, and set up a meal train delivereing my family dinners for 2 weeks. Ive never experienced anything like this and Ive been to quite a few churches. Sermons are biblically deep and strong in application. Worship is passionate and spirit filled. The childrens ministry (which has two incredible childrens ministers) is getting a revamp and full reconstruction/renovation. Great trustworthy youth programs all around. Love South and am happy to call it my home!

New St John Baptist Church

Eric Whitfield This was a first visit and it was quite good. The purpose was to witness my nephews baptism and I was pleasantly surprised by the service itself! The scriptures, pastors sermon, and other aspects of the experience were chosen well and relevant. The pastor was compassionate, concise, and consummate in his delivery. He was engaging without excess, which I greatly appreciated. The congregants were warm and welcoming. Id attend again based upon this experience.

St James Episcopal Church - baton rouge

Reńe Roquemore aka ROCKY I called the St James Episcopal Church on Valentines, and spoke with Mr. John the food pantry manager. I explained my needing some food asap. The Food pantry was closed. But, he allowed to come the same day and pick up some bags of groceries. Thank God

Church of the Highlands

Taunt Lu Wonderful people. Great message. The pastor is amazing. God really speaks through him as he preaches straight from the bible. Even the difficult topics. Kids are welcome to stay in the service but they usually choose to go to the kidstown classes where the bible is taught on their level. This church offers small groups and bible studies, things to keep you involved throughout the week, if you can make it. We were so glad to find a place that we can truly call home.

Saint Francis Xavier Catholic Church

sapphirebluebeauty I went to St. Francis Catholic Church because on Fridays during lent they sell Fish plates. Let me tell you that the catfish was crispy, seasoned and fried to perfection! The spaghetti and cheese were so DELICIOUS! And that homemade bundt cake I ate in two bites, it was so moist and buttery. The potato salad was "put their feet " in it GOOD!

Mitzi Gay A spirit-filled and friendly congregation. Pastor Don is great with the interpretation and delivery of a Godly message based on Bible scripture, with applications to daily living. A very community-oriented church, with numerous programs that reach out to and fulfill local as well as missions needs.
