H. H. I recently moved to the Amite area and searched google for a lube shop close to me with the best customer reviews. Well, as I presumed, the reviews tell all... Showed up 15 minutes prior to opening at 8:00am. I assume the owner had just arrived to open up shop, but was eager to welcome me and service my truck. A few minutes later, an employee (Eddie), showed up and immediately said hello and got to helping his boss with my truck. I was out by 8:05! Come on?! How often in 2019 do you get superb service like this?? These guys hadnt even started their day and were so accommodating. Did I mention I had a two year old with me?? In and out with excellent and efficient customer service. I will be back and will refer all my friends and family! Thanks again guys.

DENISE TAPPAN If I could give them less than 1 star, they would definately be at zero. They schedule appointments for service knowing they have no intention of actually fixing a vehicle that day. Service appointment scheduled for 8:45 am and 1:15 pm they have not even looked at the vehicle . Service manager and service department dont even care that customers drop their cars off and may actually need them. Or at least be able to give an update or status after 4.5 at the shop. Will never take my vehicle back again.

So For Something That Was Only $66 Dollars I Ended Up Paying $100. Guess They Saw Sucker Written Across My Forehead. Baby Kyee HORRIBLE AUTO SERVICE. I came for an oil change and three days later my car starts acting funny and my oil light comes on. I realized they never changed the oil, they just acted like they did and took my money. I came back for a refund and they redid the oil change and said they could not refund me for the inconvenience of having to come back because you guys DID NOT do my oil change the first time. DO NOT COME HERE FOR AUTO SERVICE.

kelly fitzpatrick We brought our truck to Reid Automotive and left it there with the understanding that the required repair was a fuel pump and it would take two weeks to be repaired. SIX weeks and $3000 on rental cars later, we picked up the truck and were charged $1500. Not one single time did Reid pick up the phone in the six weeks that he had the truck to call and touch base about it, or to confirm any additional repairs and cost, nor the time required. Our truck did not move from its original parking spot for four weeks until we went there to ask about it since no one in the shop can be bothered to answer the phone. You cannot tell me that this is an oversight, or that he forgot and didn’t think about it. We watched as vehicles moved in and out daily. I’ve read enough similar reviews online that show how poorly he runs his business, treats his customers and takes advantage of good, hardworking people. We are out of thousands of dollars because of this trash. Ever since we picked it up, the truck won’t hardly start but we most definitely are not bringing it back to him. I will go out of my way to not recommend this place and share this poor experience as much as I can. There is no excuse.

Nelson Mock Reviews are important to me. Especially when it’s a small business trying to leave a mark in their local community. Reid’s Automotive did a very good job on my Yukon. Had oil pan leak repair, struts and tire rotation done on my vehicle and it was completed in a very good timely manner. I’ve driven my vehicle for two days now and it’s clear that they did the job right! When I received the invoice I didn’t have any second guesses I knew it was a fair price. Give Reid’s a shot, you will not be disappointed. They’ve been doing this for a long time. That says something.

Jacob Cox One shop told me I needed a new motor in my truck and it was going to cost $5300. I decided to get a second opinion because I couldn’t believe it and wanted to be sure. So someone recommended Reid automotive. I took it there and they got my truck back running and driving great! Honest nice people and I’m very happy with the outcome. They saved me so much money! Hood Motor Amite had a new tire next day AND at 0 cost put a temp plug in my new car tire! And the car didnt come from them. The staff inside were kind and stopped and chatted. At least 5 staff in 2 days talked at length with me.

They told me it was the fan after they replaced it my car still wasn’t fixed and they still charged me over $700 they told me I had to bring it to Ford because my computer had to be reprogrammed. Took it to Ford turns out it was just a fuse!!!! Just a freaking fuse!! How didn’t they catch that!

I am a single working mom and spent all my tax return ($3500 thats a lot of money for me) to keep my car running for as long as possible. Everything was fine until after I got it back from having the timing replaced. No its the not the computer. Jumped through all the hoops with the computer. Its out of time and a zero clearance engine. Im without a vehicle and all the money I put into it.
