5 /5 Sonyia Brake: My daughter, Maria, and son-in-law, Mike, moved into the parish in August, 2015, from Normal, IL. While they moved from a great parish, I was pleasantly surprised to find that St. Jude was equally great. When we go to visit their family, at St. Judes we find great priests, deacons and music at the Masses we attend. Eucharistic Adoration is available on certain days. The school even has Dominican Sisters!! How special is that! They attend the Mass that we usually attend and it is so good that they are there. It has been a long time since we have seen that.
As far as noise is concerned, obviously parents should tend to screaming children at Mass. That is what we did with our seven children. Lots of children is a sign of a growing and healthy future and that parents are trying to teach them their Catholic Faith. I never had that as a child as I was Southern Baptist, so I am impressed.
We live on the East Coast, and I am in "holy envy" of your great Diocese. You have lots of Seminarians, who we pray for daily, as well as for the Seminarians in our own Diocese.
We are always so happy to visit St. Jude. The Morning Mass Moms are to be congratulated for instilling in their children a love for the Lord and His Church at a very young age.
Keep up the good work, St. Jude Catholic Church. You all have a good Patron Saint!
