Salt Church - Normal (IL)

lexi danner Salt church is officially my family & I’s home church. My husband & I & our two young kiddos look forward to each Sunday specifically because we go to Salt. It is fun of loving young college kids, young adults, a lot of families & most importantly LOTS of Jesus. I’ve never met such a caring group of Christians. We love it so much here and would definitely recommend.

Cassandra Avila I’m so grateful that we found St. Mary’s when we moved here back in 2008. The parish and the school have been absolutely wonderful and I knew it was home the within the first mass I attended. I cried during mass because I felt Father Greg was speaking directly to me during that first mass I attended and I knew I had been called home. I called my husband right after mass (who was in Indiana) and I told him I found our perish (prior to St. Mary’s I had fallen out of attendance at my previous parish for several reasons). We have attended since and our kids attend St. Mary’s school. I cannot express enough how thankful we are for the parish and school. Wonderful!

Karen P I was apprehensive about attending a new church. Yet, I felt like I was among friends. Everyone was very friendly. I even attended a bible study the first Sunday. I had an immediate opportunity to sit down with the pastor. I truly believe the church is very much heart centered, and bible focused. The religious feel of the church is not over powering. You dont have to fit in. You are a part the moment you step in. Its really important to emphasize the importance of not judging a church because you have never heard of it or its not mega. I feel like a prospectors. I found a seemingly tiny nugget in a church family that has made me richer in so many ways. Thank you.

Pastor Dave is humble, well-studied, eloquent, and good-humored -- all of which is reflected in the friendly, down-to-earth community there. I made lifelong friends and miss them dearly!
