St Paul Baptist Church

Ruby Peary St. Paul is a loving church with a loving Pastor and First Lady who love their members. I can feel the presence of God when I walk in. The people always greet you with a smile, hug, hand shake, and encouragement. You will always find someone who may not act in a Christian manner but dont let them stop you from coming. That is the enemys strategy to keep you away. If you truly know who you are in Christ Jesus nothing will stop you from coming to the house of God.

Summit Point Church

J Carey I go to get fed. The Summit Point leadership puts together a nice buffet. Starter/appetizer: Music worship is different than I grew up with, but after a few weeks one knows some songs. Its contemporary. Theyre seemingly passionate. I dont feel like Im learning a new song every week, but sometimes. Main course: Senior pastor Tim Harkness is generally serving up meat and potatoes. Tim is very personable and speaks very relationally. He is knowledgeable, and I feel like he is bringing Gods word, not his own. Ive been to a lot of churches, and primarily go for the teaching. I feel like the gospel of Jesus Christ is presented well. Often I feel like I learned something, not just like I had an emotional experience or an encounter with God. Dessert: They wrap with a song and a concise summary/dismissal statement. 9/10 times I feel well-fed. 10/10 times Im glad I went. Its a pretty big church, and staffed with imperfect people like the rest of us. But I think they do a very good job overall in their mission. The facility is comfortable. Logistics are good for its size. The service is not short or a ticket-puncher type. It isnt the same as your old church, whatever that was, but I recommend giving Summit Point a few weeks trial, if youre looking for a new home. My family and I are glad we did.

Rock Church - east peoria

Michael Erdmier My home church and an amazing place to experience the presence of God. The worship is loud and proud. This is a place that accepts people with open arms and do not judge. It is more modern and less formal. Shows that you dont need to dress in a suit or nice clothes just to go to church. Church is about the body (the people) and celebrating God, because he deserves it all. If youve never been here, I strongly encourage you to go. Plenty of volunteer work available, and everyone is very friendly. You will definitely not regret coming to this church!

The Cathedral of Saint Mary of the Immaculate Conception

Kevin A gorgeous edifice! Beautiful house of worship. Historic architecture in Peoria, IL. The church was designed by Casper Mehler and completed in 1889. With buff colored Anamosa limestone and twin 230 foot spires this is a work of art. Preservation in Peoria. I have not yet visited inside this church, but I am looking forward to it! ...And today I had the chance to go in to St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception. I got permission to photograph the gorgeous interior and come away with a few pretty decent images I think.

St Vincent de Paul Catholic Church

Douglas Coleman This place is a God send. Paid for $100 gas for me after I got stranded in Peoria after being overcharged for work done on my vehicle. After being absolutely broke and having no friends or family being able to assist me, I felt hopeless. St. Vincent de Paul was the only place that helped. Made it home to Kansas City.
