5 /5 Joan Sporny: This was a magnificent experience! The Peoria Symphony Orchestra asked the Apollo Chorus of Chicago to join them by performing together the wonderful oratorio by Handel, The Messiah. Apollo Chorus is well-known for their ability to perform this classical piece, much of it from memory. The entire hall was sold out, and the maestro asked us to add two sections of music to what is known as the "Christmas Messiah" as a
"gift" to the orchestras audience. We then added "Worthy Is The Lamb" and the amen section to end the concert, to great appreciative applause. If asked, Im sure that The Apollo Chorus would make that long trip again!
