Gateway Church - Mt Vernon (IL)

Joshua Feil Awesome church that is impacting the Mount Vernon community for Jesus! In my week (on a mission trip), this church is a great community and has so much love for everyone. Truly doing the Great Commission! Everyone is welcome and these people are awesome servants of Jesus!

Alex Peterson Id like to thank the folks from the Christian church in Summerville for feeding us today at Rose Lane in Mt. Vernon. They could have traveled, spent the day with their families, or watched sports on television. But they sacrificed their time, their money, and their own desires to take care of us. I am grateful for their kindness. Gratitude is the Source of Provision. Its much better to learn this when youre young than to learn it when youre old. But whenever you DO learn it, learn it now.

Alex Peterson Wow! This is the 3rd church Ive visited in town. The others were great, but I got fed at this churchs service this morning at 10:45 on 42nd Street. MTV, IL Everybody spoke with me. That Im not used to. The service was traditional, which is what Im used to. If youre looking, you really should GO HERE! Whew! Hallelujah! Amen.

Hansen Matthew “Mind Commander” This church body is dealing with alot. Through all the trials, struggles, and pain, everyone of them still were praising Jesus. They were amazing examples of true Christians. We almost wanted to delay our vacation and extra day so we would make it to Sunday service the following week as well.

Liz Swieca Family life shelter saved my life. I found God being there. The classes helped me very much. They helped me get my birth certificate. The staff is very nice and its clean. I completed the program. I got a full time job as a cook, saved my money and got my own place. I love their church.They have a wonderful service!
