1 /5 Nick Hallberg: I played in their recent, for money, pickleball tournament at the 4.0 - 4.5 level, and their organizers participated. There were clearly stacked round robin groups, in which they put themselves in one of the easiest. As organizers, with money on the line, this was extremely unprofessional and looked pretty bad from the view of other participants. Additionally, I do not want to belittle any of the teams in the tournament however, I think everyone that participated was able to notice that the "best" teams were mostly not the ones in the playoffs. Only the single top team from each round robin group made it and they grouped up the best teams (it seems by DUPR Rating) against each other. So basically, the best teams eliminated themselves in the round robin. This resulted in the playoffs being basically a formality and it left a bitter feeling for me and several other teams that I spoke with about this. The facility and people working the desk were great but the actual organizers and format for the tournament were awful and I dont think Id play in another Stealth hosted pickleball tournament.
