1 /5 Drew Smith: This is hands down the worst insurance group in Georgia. I’ve never dealt with people who could care less and yet work so well at manipulating the system. They don’t pay for claims and they don’t save you money.
I was a State Farm customer for over 10 years and never had any issues. I even had multiple tickets and 3 wrecks with State Farm. I made the switch because the staff at Bush swore that Nationwide would save me over $250 per six months. This was lie number one. Within my first 90 days my insurance went UP $27 more per month. Even after they put a cheaper policy in writing and signed. They claimed it was because of the Savannah claim average went up. They said because ALL insurance companies were paying more claims, all people in Georgia were paying higher prices. This was lie number two. I’ve recently found that ONLY Nationwide customers went through this price hike at that time. Other groups have gone up, but this was due to the hurricanes that we have dealt with lately.
To make matters worse, I bought a new/used certified car directly from the dealership with warranty. This car had no flaws period. A semi-truck hit my car a week after i purchased it. Nationwide instructed me to have the other insurance company handle the claim since it was the truck driver’s fault. The truck driver’s insurance gave me the runaround for 3 months before they even would do an appraisal. They left my car out in the rain with the windows smashed out from the accident. I begged Nationwide to handle the issue, but they refused over and over again saying that the other insurance was responsible.
It is now over a year since my accident. My car still doesn’t run but has new paint. Both companies are refusing to do any more repairs and I’m stuck still to this day with no transportation, using the bus to carry two kids around town. I’m still begging Nationwide to handle this case and their only response is that I should have let NATIONWIDE handle the case from the beginning. Even though I called them from the accident, directly after I called 911, and NATIONWIDE told me that I should have let them handle it from the start! Lie number three.
My car is destroyed and undrivable from the accident. The damages are soooo high that even after GAP I still owe over $7000 dollars that I had NO fault for. The driver of the truck and the trucking company has paid $0.00 towards the accident either. I’ve been left responsible for 100% of an accident that 100% of the people and police know is not my fault. Nationwide is NOT on your side, I promise. My life has been devastated by the incompetence and criminality of these people.
Whatever you do, DO NOT use these people or Nationwide. You WILL regret it.
Just as a heads up, State Farm never took more than a week from the moment of an accident to have me back on the road. Use them instead.
I would put 0 stars if I could.
