1 /5 Kelly Nortonhoward: Came in to talk about my cd that was ready to mature in a few days. MARIO at the Conyers branch couldnt be bothered apparently and gave me a print out that was out of date on March 31st. They just lost my business.

5 /5 Richard Talley: I would like to thank Laura Kennon. She is the community manager at Georgias Own Conyers location. Her customer service surpassed all of my expectations. Ive been a member of multiple banks in my 46 years, but I have never received anything close to the special treatment I received from Ms. Kennon. She helped me with my loan so I could purchase the car of my dreams. I saw my car around 2 oclock in Cobb County. Somehow, I ended up on a wild goose chase with another car dealership in Conyers. I already had my paperwork from the dealership in Cobb, but I needed to find a Georgias Own. It was already 3:30. A quick Google search, and there was a Georgias Own less than 5 min away. When I arrived at the bank, I knew I was close to closing for the day, so I figured that it was no way anyone could help me so close to closing. I walked in, and it was your usual Friday bank crowd. A few people are in line, with 1 or 2 people waiting to see someone. I attempted to sign in, but for some reason, I was having an issue. Then I heard, "Can I help you?" I turned around, and it was Ms. Kennon, the bank manager. She invited me into her office, and I began to explain my situation. With a smile, she replied, "I will help you." That she did. I dont know how, but she was more excited about me getting a new car than I was. The time was well after 6:30, and her husband had called a few times, so I was waiting for her to say come back tomorrow and we can finish up the paperwork but she never said it. We engaged in a conversation that felt more like a spiritual journey than a conversation. I can go on and on, but I just wanted to thank Ms. Kennon and the whole Georgias Own family, because this was an amazing experience. She didnt finish the paperwork until around 8 oclock. I am soooo thankful. Georgias Own has been nothing but a blessing for me and my family. I am a real person. Im just sharing my testimony to help others who may be in need of a new bank home or just needed help like I did. I would recommend Georgias Own Credit Union Conyers location to anyone, even if its a little out of the way for you. Its close to an hour away from me, but its well worth the drive just to meet Ms. Kennon. Shes an amazing person. Just tell her you read Richards review, and Im sure you will leave as excited as I was and leave a review of your own. Thank you, Ms. Kennon for your dedication and reassuring me that Georgias Own Credit Union is the perfect banking home for me.

1 /5 Kevin Kelley: Lousy customer service says it all. Gotta love a bank where the guard tells you that the coin counting machine is broken and has been for more than a year. Banks/credit unions suck in general and Georgia’s Own is definitely a shining example of that.

1 /5 Ani: I went here Saturday, 2/8/2025 at 9:55am. We were in the drive thru on the far right lane. We had a very unpleasant experience at this bank. The staff member who was a dark skin, black woman with glasses, that I interacted with was extremely rude and unprofessional. She yelled over the intercom, which was both unnecessary and embarrassing. When I requested a simple withdrawal from my account, she refused to process it without providing a clear explanation.. Despite having more than enough funds in my account to cover the withdrawal I requested, the staff claimed they didn’t have the necessary funds available. If my money is in my account, then where is it? The customer service was rude, her tone was demeaning, inappropriate , and unprofessional, as she yelled at us over the intercom. This lack of transparency and professionalism is unacceptable. .I left feeling frustrated and disrespected. I expect much better customer service from a financial institution. They need to train this staff member better , or this bank will lose more customers. I hope they speak with this individual, and she realizes she should not talk to people this way. I’m incredibly disappointed and considering looking for a more reliable bank or a different location especially if we have another interaction with her again.

1 /5 Oneway Reedy: If I could give this bank 0 stars i would. July 23rd around 12:20pm i came to cash a $75 check. The older woman not sure of her ethnicity but she was older woman with glasses. Not the young nice lady that was helping others, not her so it’s only one other there and that’s who I’m talking about. She was very rude and lack urgency! Because i do not have an account with this bank but my customer do they have to call and verify that, they are the one who wrote the check for I’d assume fraud confirmation and identify confirmation. Thats never been a problem and it should be that way but when i call the customer on the phone, and the customer states for the bank to call them back to verify, she never did. She wasn’t saying a word behind the desk, she acknowledged me maybe one time and i was there for at least an hour! I asked her how long would it take to call back so my customer could verify (which she pulled over for 20 minutes waiting for bank to call ) she said it’ll be a few minutes. After 15 minutes she told me to step to the side of counter and gave me my belongings back. 30 minutes later she said they denied the check and that i should come back tomorrow. No explanation no nothing just come back tomorrow. Never in my life has this ever happened. Very unprofessional and almost seem a bit wrong to deny a person with no explanation. My customer said that has never happened before so I’d assume the bank teller wasn’t too fond of my ethnicity. She needs to be fired.
