Our pastor is an excellent pastor along with the rest of the Mt. Olive staff. Dont let the negative reviews discourage you from visiting our church in person or online. If you notice, the Negative reviews comes from people who never leaves reviews but took the time to try and bash our church.... they have a total of 1-2 reviews. I leave reviews, no matter good or bad. Review history of a person tells a story about who they are somewhat and thats my opinion and how I judge an establishment before I go.

Loren Price The church is freshly decorated for Advent 2024. Monsignor Chanel Jeanty has taken over for Father Kidney since hes been in a coma for several weeks and the Monsignor is doing an amazing job as a new leader. Happy New liturgical year! (Advent) ... as we prepare for Christmas, the birthday of Jesus. Great choir, great priests, amazing office staff, multicultural, friendly family environment.

Ariel W. The First Christian Church of Ft Lauderdale was started by Maude Bollinger and Ruth Repp who offered Sunday school classes on Repps front porch to the Ft Lauderdale community which was only 143 people at that time. Church services were held at several locations in Ft. Lauderdale including the old Fort Lauderdale Sentinel building. In 1925, a benefactor donated land for a church at the corner of Southeast 13th Street and Southeast Third Avenue on the site of a former rock pit. Lumber to build the church arrived on Sept. 16, 1926. The very next day the Hurricane of 1926 destroyed the church records, lumber, the tent they were working out of, and all of their equipment. Two children and two adult members of the congregation lost their lives. The church rose from this devastating loss and completed the church building in 1927. A later expanded building incorporates the original church structure. I love a historic church and I was able to check out First Christian Church of Ft Lauderdale during a tag sale. They held the sale in their basement! I was amazed that there was a building with an actual basement in South Florida. The congregation was so warm and welcoming and I got invited to church service by Katherine. This church is gorgeous and you can feel the history within its walls. Church services are held every Sunday at 10:45.
