1 /5 madison parisoe: Do not under any circumstances come here. My partner was kept against his will. His family and I had to fight to get him out, as there was no reason for him to be held any longer. After being released, he shared some very disturbing experiences that he had to endure during his time here. One of which includes an elderly woman he met. She had been at the facility for well over a month and put on so many medications that she was basically catatonic. She was so shaky that my partner had to help her eat and take her medication because the "nurses" were too busy playing on their phones OR simply didnt care to help. Thank goodness there was another patient on the female side that would help get her dressed in the mornings, because the nurses refused to help her. There were moments in the evening before they all had to take meds that she would ask my partner for help.. and say "I just need someone to save me." Well, here we are, trying to at least get her story out to the public. Her and her partner were at a loss and didnt know how to get her out because Dr. Rashid insisted she stay. My partner also opened up about the nurses and his experiences giving blood. I wont go too into detail, but he had to give blood multiple times and when he came home, his arms and hands were covered in bruising caused by failed attempts at drawing blood. Not to mention, the food such as the milk and juice provided to the patients were severely out of date. He lost 12lbs during his 5 day stay at this facility. I understand why these hospitals are necessary, but this quality of care is absolutely unacceptable. A lot of unlawful behavior that went on inside of this facilities walls is unspeakable. But that is something being handled by lawyers as we speak, and isnt our story to share. One of the case workers (Im not going to name names because they played a roll in getting my partner out and I dont want them to lose their job) opened up to multiple patients about Neuro Behavioral going bankrupt. They asked if anyone knew someone who might be interested in buying the building. If that doesnt speak volumes, I truly dont know what else to say. These people go to work - get paid. Not once was a group held during his time there. There were "art supplies" such as a few crayons and dried up markers, but other than that, patients sat and started at a TV screen all day. Yes, phones were provided. Thank god, because without communication with him, we wouldnt have been able to get him out. Its all a scam. If you truly want help, do NOT go here. There are nice nurses like Sarah, Kellsee, and Frankie. But without them, I truly feel like my partner would still be in there. I hope to god that the woman I mentioned earlier is not still in that facility. She was frail, uncared for, and scared. My partner still has guilt for leaving her the day he got out. There are other options, dont fund this place. They deserve to go bankrupt.
