Nail Time Julington Creek - Jacksonville (FL)

1 /5 Sophia C: I have been coming to this nail time location for years for pedicures and manicures. Julie is amazing and she did a wonderful dip nail extension on me a month ago. I came in on Thursday for another dip set and asked for pink chrome square nails. This other nail tech did pink glitter with chrome and my nails look lumpy and uneven. The nail tech was obviously rushing and it wasn’t even close to closing time. She flooded the cuticle with excess product and there was a hole of product on my thumb that chipped off because she didn’t redo it that day. I had to ask for multiple nails to be fixed and even then she just filed them more and left them messed up. The top coat went all the way onto my skin and was never cleaned up and it honestly was a very painful and rough experience but I didn’t speak up because she wasn’t friendly. I wish I had refused to pay because that was a waste of my hard earned $65 plus tip. In my opinion your money would be better spent elsewhere.

2 /5 Tammy P: I asked for nail extensions with gel overlay, and a square shape… Two technicians later ending up with the third one… Tried to convince me that the orange nail polish she chose for me was pink… after that I was beyond trying to explain what I was asking for… that cost me $35 and all I got was my own nail trim to the quick And pink bubblegum nail polish… And the station was filthy

4 /5 Matt M: If I had to be exact. I would give Nail Time a 4.5, but there was so much going on here, it is easy to round up. First, make a reservation, they have a lot of technicians but they get booked up, so call ahead. Second, they have these small rooms of four chairs for pedicures. It is perfect for small groups or girls (or guys) day out. Third, I found the prices to be competitive and some of the pedicure packages to be really interesting, but mostly normal fare. Why the .5 deduction? Well I paid for a reflexology and there was no reflexology going on during my pedicure. It was good, yes, and there was special care taken for some of my special foot needs, but just no reflexology. :(

1 /5 Jen: I felt very conflicted on whether to post this review, but the last several times I’ve been into Nail Time it has been a very different experience than the ones prior. My daughter and I have been getting our nails done there for the past few years. We don’t have a specific technician as we’ve been pleased with them all, and Jenny seems to always have a wait. We even celebrated my daughter’s birthday last year with a group of her friends getting pedicures there and it was great, but today’s experience was enough to not return. I got my usual gel hot stone pedicure and gel manicure. I’ve noticed the last few times, that one person will start the pedicure and then at the very end, when only the nails need to be painted, another person will come over to complete. The second lady, the finisher if you will, painted all over my toes and then proceeded to clip the excess paint off instead of taking a paint brush and clean them off. This second lady started on my gel manicure. She cut my nails too short, and when I noted they were too short after the first few, she told me that they were uneven and needed to fix. During the manicure she spilled nail polish remover all over the station. She painted my nails fairly quickly, never took the time to clean up with a smaller paint style brush around the cuticles. I asked her to fix multiple nails at least two times, one at least three times, before I realized it was not going to get better. She told me that she couldn’t fix bc my nails were too small (which I told her she was cutting too short), and that my fingers were too dry and she couldn’t do better. I just wanted her to finish. I paid and she asked if I had cash for tip, which I provided for the very first person who did 90% of the gel pedicure. I paid and left with no intention of returning. After reading some of these reviews and the Google ones, I’m glad I didn’t waste more time in trying to get it fixed. I came home and every nail was easily peeled up in one stroke. I’ve never had this technician before but I hope that no one else has the same experience as me.
