Mission City Church - Largo (FL)

1 /5 Wayne Barnette: Was invited here last year for fathers day with my daughter and it was great. Decided to visit again on my trip down this past week and was treated like a nuisance by a woman at the coffee bar. She asked me for my payment 3 times for "donation" coffee. An entirely different church than the last time we were here. Such a shame. COMMAND-Z about 10 times. Changed my review to 1 star (from 2) after seeing that the responder tried to tell me the volunteers are passionate. Im sure none of the coffee money goes towards the huge lobby expansion that is taking place right?

5 /5 Jane: EDIT:I still love this place but it is getting a little crowded. People have to practically sit elbow to elbow to fit in. Hopefully more room coming soon? I love the worship service. The pastor is very knowledgeable. He actually studies the word and studies the history. I also love that no one is in your face when you walk in, no one trying to shake your hand and find out your address

5 /5 Joshua Deese: My family and I have been members at this Church for roughly 8 years. We have volunteered in nearly every department, been on trips with the Church, and know all of the staff very well. Its a phenomenal Church. Would recommend. Doctrine/ Preaching- Conservative Christian/ Sol Scriptura/ Mostly Baptist People- Friendly, genuine, knowledgeable believers Groups- Small groups for any demographic Child ministry- Used to be decent with regard to size and number of children. I would say its pretty good now. The Church has really focused in on the child ministry and made it much better. Worship- Contemporary youngn stuff Missions and Donations- Very good partnerships available Pastors- Good God fearing men

5 /5 Janette Kerr: Very family oriented church. They love ALL people. Teachings directly from the Bible. Pastor & wife humbling & down to earth personality. What you see is what you get! Staff & other Pastors the same. Best decision ever made

5 /5 Colleen Byrne: This is a great church! Pastor Josh is a great pastor and he always has something to say that is meaningful and relatable to your daily life. They have a great choir and one of their singers should sing professionally—-incredible voice. I think he runs the choir. They have three welcome sessions and the first session they fed us the most wonderful brunch and by the end of the three sessions you were welcome to join and you felt welcome. I have been to two of their 7-10 week Bible study for women. I went because I wanted to study and get to know the Bible more. I didn’t realize that it became a soul searching cathartic journey. The women are so nice and the leaders are compassionate and friendly. After the service they have prayer partners who are wonderful and will pray for your special intentions. They have a lot of functions like 3-4 Bible studies going at once. They have Baptisms they do at the beach. If you have already been baptized elsewhere you are not required to get a baptism at their church. They have date night with free child care, vacation Bible study for kids, movie showings like The chosen. They go to several countries and do missions you are invited to join them. this year they are going to Indonesia. I was raised Catholic but I’m so glad I discovered this church. I have nothing against the Catholic Church, but there was little emphasis of Bible study. Mission City church has inspired me to read the Bible and develop my faith. I highly recommend this church. Jeans are acceptable at service.
