5 /5 Scott Smith: Wow! Great hospital. While visiting Key West, one of our family members had a new heart arrhythmia. The ED got her straight back, immediate care. The doctor explained everything very well and the therapy worked. Nursing staff was friendly and caring. We were in and out in less than 2 hours! Grateful for the care.

3 /5 Pam Van Meter: My husband has been in there for 3 days.(Addiction issues from way back caused by opioid prescribing Dr.) Needs to have a bowel movement has had same underling health conditions for 40 years that Primary and Specialty Drs. Have under control. They want to give him prune juice he needs a Fleets that is what work for him with his ulcerative colitis. Well he told me and I called the nurse she got very abrupt with me and said I told him that this morning. He has to wait for Dr. I asked a few other question and she said I dont know I only come in on weekends. What kind of answer is that to a courteous concerned wife. Note: My thought (I bit my tonge)was get a job you like. Nurse ratchet must have been your mentor. Not a good career choice for you and for gods sake put a fake smile on your face and act nice. Even if your miserable. People in there are already emotionally stressed without your attitude. On a good note the week day nurse was very nice. Thats why I gave 2 stars. I would love a call from administration to discuss this. My number is in your system. Pam Van Meter Note: Sunday eve I did receive a call back from Hospital and greatly appreciate the fast response and apology.. and answers to my questions. That showed some one cared and was listening! Thank you. Upped it a star because of this.

1 /5 Marjorie: I took my son here because I was told they could help him with medically supervised detox. We met with a social worker who clearly has very little training in dealing with clients who are mentally ill or have addiction problems. Granted my son was less than cooperative but he was intoxicated and she kept arguing with him and finally told us she could not help us because he refused to cooperate. The SW would not even tell me how many beds the facility had because it was "privilaged information". She does not even know what is privilaged and what is not?? She kept telling us how busy she was and that she could not change the fact that they had no beds. I understand there were no beds available but once we found this out, we just wanted to get a referral to the center in Marathon. The person (Susan) who initially greeted us and escorted us upstairs with the SW was much more professional and had much more empathy than the SW did. Get the proper training or get out of the business of dealing with this patient population. As a health care professional I was very disappointed with the way we were handled, the lack of professionalism and the help that we did NOT receive.
