I’ve been to quite a few dental offices over the years, but nothing has come close to the level of attention, kindness, and excellence I received here. From start to finish, everything about this place exceeded my expectations. First, the name “Gentle Dentistry” is not just a catchy title, it’s a promise they actually live up to. I’ve always been a bit nervous about dental visits, especially when it comes to cleanings or fillings, but the team at Jacksonville Gentle Dentistry completely changed that for me. They were so calm, understanding, and incredibly gentle in everything they did. Not once did I feel discomfort, and that’s a first for me! When I first called to schedule my appointment, the receptionist Taylor was warm, knowledgeable, and accommodating. She helped me find a time that fit my schedule, verified my insurance benefits with no hassle, and even sent me helpful reminders. The office was easy to find and has plenty of parking, which is always a plus. Walking into the office, I immediately noticed how clean, bright, and welcoming the environment was. The space feels more like a home than a traditional dental office, there’s a relaxing atmosphere, soft music playing, and everything is spotless. I was greeted with a genuine smile at the front desk from Taylor and they made check-in super easy. Once I was taken back to the exam room, I was met by one of the dental assistant Jaimee, who was so kind and personable. She made sure I was comfortable in the chair and walked me through what to expect during the appointment. The technology they use is clearly state-of-the-art, they took digital x-rays quickly and efficiently, and everything was displayed clearly so I could follow along with what they were seeing. Then came the exam with Dr. Holly. Let me just say, I am so thankful to have found this dentist. They were extremely professional, yet approachable and kind. They took time to review my dental history, discuss any concerns I had, and explain what they were seeing with remarkable clarity. You can really tell that Dr. Holly cares deeply about both the health and comfort of their patients. They were honest but never pushy, I never felt pressured into treatments or decisions. Instead, I felt guided, supported, and well-informed. I had a cleaning done that same day, and it was hands down the most comfortable cleaning I’ve ever had. The hygienist Sam was meticulous but gentle, checking in with me throughout to make sure I was okay. My teeth looked and felt amazing afterward, squeaky clean with zero discomfort. They even offered me a warm lavender hot towel to refresh when I was done. What stood out to me most was the genuine compassion from every single person in that office. It didn’t feel like a business trying to get through appointments; it felt like a team of people who love what they do and truly care about those they serve. They treat you like family, not just another patient. I left feeling grateful, relieved, and actually excited to return, and I never thought I’d say that about the dentist!
