Karla Kemp Allendale United Methodist Church and their Pastor are true leaders in Christianity, true Christianity, in the St Petersburg area. In fact I would say in the entire south. For years Ive had no desire to go to church despite growing up memorizing whole books of the Bible for competitions. Religion, in general has been overused by conservatives and twisted to meet their needs for suppression be it suppression of women, lgbtq, the poor, you name it. Religion should never be used as a weapon. Christianity was never about control. Jesus said love your neighbor, in Allendale Methodist Church with their amazing creature has been a leader in this for the community. Not only do they give uplifting messages every week in their sermons, but they support the community in ways Ive never seen before despite living in nine states. Their messages on their Community boards are amazing. They will always stand up for you in your community. During the hurricanes, they were true leaders and helping to facilitate rescues, recovery, just mental and physical support for people. Theyre one of the few organizations who actually inspired me to return to church. Theyre true messengers of Jesus and how to live a Christian life. I highly encourage you to attend this church, reflect on Jesuss real teachings, and join the community. This is a pillar of our community in St Petersburg! Thank you to Allendale United Methodist Church for being there for us!

Claudia Sundman I am a member of this church. I obviously love it, or I wouldnt be there each week. Im agnostic. I dont believe in god or gods, certainly not the screwed-up god of Abraham! Thats not a problem at this church. We also welcome pagans and others who DO believe in a god or gods! If you are looking for a place where we value all human beings, believe that Black Lives Matter, no love is wrong, no human is illegal, women should control their own bodies, that our planet must be protected for those that follow, and that trans people deserve the same rights as all others... this may be your church!

Phoebe Harger This church is beautiful and full of life! I love how people are always there to greet you when you walk through the doors! The worship is incredible and fills me with so much joy! The lead pastors messages teach me new things every week and are very powerful! The kids team is awesome and the youth team is really making an impact in this next generation! Without Radiant I wouldnt of found my calling, rededicated my life, found community, find a mentor, grow in my giftings, and get to help lead worship in the next gen! Sometimes, Sunday comes too slow and goes too fast!

Matthew Harris I was a member of one of the biggest Hip Hop churches in the US crossover Church in Tampa FL . One day my friend invited me to visit worship city church , that next Sunday I let my team know I will be leaving and know Ive been at worship city church for 7 years ,,,. See I have dreads and tattoos and thought the only church that would except me was a Hip Hop church , but the very moment I stepped in worship city church , I heard God say welcome home ,,, if you wanna hear the truth , the real way , the honest way , the transparent way ,, come to worship city church

Susan M We absolutely loved it! Listeso String Quartet - St. Petersburg & Fever hit it out of the park with their tribute to the Beatles!!! Two violins, a cello & a viola did the Beatles proud! Highly recommend!!! Candlelight was the icing on the cake!!! First Baptist Church of St Petersburg was a beautiful venue for the music!

Shian M Hope St. Pete is the first church I’ve ever been a part of that I feel safe to have questions and doubts and feel not only accepted but loved, respected, and truly considered a part of the community. We’re a group of people from diverse backgrounds and experiences who truly love each other, want to spend time together, are inclusive, and who support each other through the ups and downs of life. We have thoughtful, convicting messages that are filled with scripture from great leaders and teachers that love God. The messages are practical and resonate long after they’re taught. Great kids program too!!! 10/10 these humans are the best part of St. Pete for me

Linda Scott Do many things I like about this church! The feeling of being wanted, you can feel the love. The Word taught straight from the Bible and its comprehensible. The worship is outstanding. But mostly their love for the community and the services it provides.

Mary Jane Heath This church is just what the Lord wants it to be, a loving, generous group of people who truly love Jesus and one another. It’s nothing fancy because our funds are spent on spreading God’s word to the world. There are no cliques, no superior people and no judgmental people. Come worship the Lord with a group of imperfect Christians. We are God’s family and welcome you with open arms.
