5 /5 Daniel Jean-Baptiste: If a child is playing with fire, you wouldn’t call out the parent who corrected the child for playing with fire, because you know that it is dangerous and it could hurt or even worse kill the child. You certainly wouldn’t call it hate when the parent proceeds to talk to their child about how dangerous playing with fire is. In the same way, Pastor Whitney is correcting us as is his duty. If it weren’t for love, then he would just stay silent and allow us to continue to play with fire. You see this man of God has the responsibility to share The Truth, because he will one day stand before God as we all will and have to account for what we did and didn’t do, say and and didn’t say. It’s easy to sit back on some platform and bash a man for standing up for something, while people are dying everyday and don’t have the opportunity turn away from what The Bible calls sin. God literally destroyed a whole city because of the same issues. Love corrects and gives righteous rebuke. Hate goes out of its way to breakdown and destroy. Pastor Whitney demonstrates love everyday even when he is calling us out on our mess. I pray for Pastor Whitney and ask God to continue to give this man the boldness to speak The Truth in even when the world will try to cancel him.
