1 /5 Samantha Coughlin: Dr Atilla was the attending physician at Lower Keys Medical Center when my son had emergency surgery. My insurance pays with no patient responsibility if billed correctly. I never received a single bill from this doctor until 8 months later when I received a bill from a collections agency. It’s quite ridiculous to not reach out to the patient regarding any money owed before sending it to collections. If they had billed my insurance correctly, I wouldn’t have had any outstanding balance. I could have resolved the issue months ago had they made me aware of the balance. Dr. Atilla’s bedside manner was great, but dealing with a collections agency now, at no fault of my own, is very frustrating.
