5 /5 Antoinette Thrift: I cannot say enough positive things about Edison Insurance Group. I note from reading the reviews that apparently, there are people who have confused Edison Insurance Group with another entity that has a similar name. I can say as a longtime client of Edison Insurance Group (having had my homeowners insurance with them for the past many years, as well as other insurance policies), I have always found the entire staff to be professional, pleasant, knowledgeable, helpful and prompt in responding. I would highly recommend Edison Insurance Group to anyone who is seeking a reputable and quality insurance agent/broker.

1 /5 Rick Starr: I received a quote from Edison Insurance and purchased a policy from them pending an inspection of my home. I was told that several roof shingles needed to be replaced or the policy would be cancelled. Huh? No problem. I hired a local roofing company to make any repairs they deemed necessary. $700 later I am informed by Edison that unless I replace the ENTIRE roof, they are going to cancel my policy. It seems to me that they are in the business of CANCELLING insurance policies because any communication with them includes a threat of policy cancellation, even when you follow their instructions. The local roofing company stood by their services and issued me a letter stating that my roof would last at least three more years, but Edison Insurance cancelled my policy because I refused to throw away a $700 repair by replacing a roof after they originally said it only needed a repair. Im probably better off. Im sure the next letter would have stated that unless I have my entire house rebuilt my policy would be cancelled.

1 /5 Mark Fila: worst insurance company on the planet. Made a claim because there was water staining on the ceiling after hurricane ian. Insurance adjuster came out and did a roof inspection after getting the roof inspected by a roofing company at the request of them. Roofing company did the inspection and said roof was fine. Provided that documentation to adjuster. Adjuster did inspection and said everything was fine and there was no damage. Insurance company sends me a letter saying that my policy will be canceled due to unrepaired damage. Adjuster apparently noted in his report that there was some grain loss and some staining on roof while telling me that everything was fine and no repairs were needed. They are now canceling my policy after deliberately lying to me and withholding information from me in order to cancel the policy. Use another company like nationwide. I also find it funny that they are saying that they are in fort myers and are telling people that are from fort myers that they are not the right company and to remove the review. Idiots.

1 /5 monica maltby: They DOUBLED our rate after Ian then CANCELLED our policy. Feels very premeditated to me - lets take as much as we can get then run.... We never submitted a claim or even called them for anything since starting our coverage with them. Way to support loyal customers.

1 /5 Michael Shehee: Worst company Ive ever dealt with. Didnt even file a claim with company. First couple months with insurance premium hike due to over inflating replacement cost of house. Deceptive practices. Do not use unless you enjoy high blood pressure and headaches. Flooded one day with 5 separate letters in the same day with stuff that was inaccurate. Needless to say they were fired and I have a company now thats more competent and a pleasure to do business with
