Additionally, when I went to sell some gold pieces, they suggested I repurpose my childhood jewelry into pieces I could wear as an adult. To my surprise, I discovered that the owner, Andy—who used to tutor me back in college—was running the shop! Andy was very courteous and honest throughout the process. I had assumed some of my jewellery was 14k, but he carefully tested it and explained that it was actually 18k. He remembered me right away and paid me a fair price for my pieces.
