The Best 18 Hair Salon in Pensacola, FL (part 2)

Angela Zuluaga I’m new to town and was recommended this place by a couple of friends. Sadly to say I was disappointed. My haircut came out uneven/blunt. I tried to like it but being told by numerous people/ stylists that my hair looks “chopped” really brought my confidence down. I’ve never experienced my hair coming out like this and I’ve been to countless hair salons before. I did give the shop a call and they explained that due to it being past 14 days the best they could do is offer another hairstylist to fix it, and seeing past reviews i don’t think that would help either. I also provided an image of my hair prior to the cut.

Rebecca Nelsen I’m so upset with this salon. My cut is not what I wanted. I have long hair and left with these uneven short layers. Called and explained that something wasn’t right about the cut. It didn’t seem blended. The owner booked me to fix it. Went to that appointment and left unhappy still. It’s still not blended. It’s not what I wanted or like on myself. I have these super short top layers with long hair underneath. I spent $300 for a cut and color. The color is great. Cut is awful. I left so upset and unhappy. And now wasted all this money on the color to just have to wear it in a bun. It’s uneven and looks awful. It’s like my hair has two different distinct levels. I’m embarrassed.

ami wight This is my all time favorite salon. I live out of town and never know exactly when I will be in Pensacola. The receptionist is always happy to help make a short notice appointment happen for me. I have received outstanding education, styling and cuts each and every time. Gabby Lewis was my most recent stylist and she absolutely delivered! I can’t say enough amazing things about Salon San Carlos.

Lendsey von Krueger I have a curly haired daughter and have been struggling on what to do and use for her hair. Jackie was amazing and took her time to explain everything to me during the cut and style. My daughters curls looked SO good at the end of the appointment - we are so thrilled and will be back!

Julia Crow Updated Review! 05/23/24. I got some new extensions put in by Jenine. She is amazing as always. She listened to exactly what I wanted and even exceeded the vision I had. My extensions are beautiful. She did a beautiful color job. I love love love Jenine and her work. Worth every penny and more. I can’t say enough good things about Jenine! I got IBE extensions put in by another stylist at a different salon. I was very unhappy with the installation so I came to Next Level Salon for a fix. Jenine was amazing. I couldn’t have been more happy with the installment. She is very knowledgeable. She listens to your wants while also keeping the integrity of your hair in mind!

Amelia Eagle I asked for some natural looking highlights back in December and I was so happy with the outcome. I had previously box dyed my hair black, red, and dark brown all within a few months, and I was shocked and SOOO thrilled by how Noemi was still able to work with my hair and give it dimension!!

Karen Stachler I love this salon!! Even more now at the new location on Bayou Blvd. Jenine has helped my fine hair become so healthy. She is a master colorist and my blonde always looks magazine perfect! I also get the Invisible Bead Extensions and am always so pleased with the fullness and natural look they provide me! The salon is very chic! One nice perk, the shampoo bowls are so much more comfortable than most salons and I’ve been to so many through the years. Alyssa Parker I had such a great experience at Adore You Salon! First, i went in for a consult & met with Vicki. She was so sweet & easy to work with. She was able to take my vision and bring it life. She did such a STUNNING job first off!! Second, I loved that she listened to my wants and gave me exactly what I asked and then some. I was really shocked how amazing my hair came out. I mean just look at the before & after! Lastly, the environment/space was so welcoming. They invite you in like you’ve been going there for years. I booked a consultation and she was so knowledgeable, professional and friendly. I wouldnt recommend anyone else for you loc and wick needs. Tangela Jackson I had the most amazing experience with Shakiera. She truly went above and beyond to accommodate me, especially since I had just come off a back-to-back shift at work. I was able to relax and even nap while she worked her magic on my hair. I showed her some inspo pictures, and she brought my vision to life perfectly! The color came out beautifully, my ends were trimmed so nicely, and she gave me the most flawless, sleek silk press. I couldnt be happier with the finished look. Aleena Prek I had my second cut with Maria while growing out a short pixie. She is so attentive and communicates very well not only to make sure I get what I want, but to also tell me why and how things need trimmed to be grown out and look good in the process. I absolutely love my hair cut and appreciate the time she took to shape it to my face, head, and hair texture. She also recommended a new styling product when I requested styling tips. I really like what she picked out for me! The staff I met while there were very kind and positive as well. Getting your hair done feels like a true self care activity at The Salon. Everything is beautiful, very clean, welcoming and comfortable. Location is great and parking is ample. Cant wait for my next appointment and to try color in the future!

A. Flores Babz is the sweetest! I move a lot so I always have to search for a great hair stylist. I saw some reviews and knew I loved her work. She reassures you before doing anything and is very knowledgeable about hair products. The salon is aesthetically pleasing and it feels like a very positive atmosphere.

Sylvie Weber I am so impressed with Susan that I needed to write this review. Just moving to this area and looking for the right hairdresser is not an easy task. As a redhead and wanting to keep my natural color, not only did she match it perfectly, she cut my hair exactly how I wanted it. Unbelievable, my husband was even impressed. Cindy Mayeux Totally disappointed. For someone who said she can do anything and that she is very good, did quite a bad job. I had to go to another stylist to fix her color and cut - she was a bit amazed at how uneven the cut was and that the color was quite "different". Gigi needs to slow it down - she works on too many people at a time - 5 when I was there. Still... the talent is not there as she claims. I wouldnt recommend her.

Alexandria Fischer I tried the head spa experience and it was such a great way to revitalize my hair. The private room is very relaxing and the socks and robe they give you are super cozy. You also get an eye mask that heats up. Marissa was very attentive to making sure I was comfortable. It’s definitely elevated from a typical hair wash in a salon. They spend time massaging your scalp and even use some tools. The treatment I had made my scalp feel tingly. My hair is very fine and gets oily quickly, so this gave my hair a deep cleanse without feeling dry. I was able to go days without washing it and got several compliments. Marissa styled my hair afterwards and did an awesome job. The salon itself is decorated very cute and has a good atmosphere. I also got a haircut months back with Vanessa who fixed a botched cut I got from another salon and she was very personable. Everyone I have interacted with here is so kind. If your hair needs a deep cleanse I highly recommend trying a head spa appointment!

Ebere Robinson-Griffin I love my hair always. I love the way it feels and feels every time I come here. Santia is a God sent. Also try the hair tonic that she sells in a shop and the beauty supply. Santia sells other products for hair as well they work so good on your hair.

Joanne Aikens Jae Hickman is the most professional hairstylist I met in my time of going to a hair salons . I loved the way she fixed my hair. I didn’t have to wait for my appointment and that itself is a plus. Her booth was clean and well managed. My overall experience was excellent. I would definitely recommend others to Jae.

Billie Stockwell I have been looking for a new stylist lately. I reviewed many salons and the individual stylists at the salons. After a lengthy search, I decided to give Tiffany at Growlolgy a try because of the reviews I read on the salon and her. WOW!!!!! I was more than amazed with Tiffany!! She was friendly, knowledgeable, and intelligent about everything concerning Hair. Without knowing what color I had been using, she matched the color perfectly! I sorta explained what kind of haircut I wanted and she gave me the cutest haircut ever!! And……. The prices are very reasonable!!! Also, the owner, Louise, greeted me and made me feel very comfortable! I highly recommend Growlolgy!

Amanda Preston Beautiful salon and the friendliest people! After having a bad bleach job done by my old stylist, I was afraid to trust someone else with my hair…until I found Tiffany! She took my damaged hair and turned it into the perfect shade of blonde that NO other stylist I’ve been to could achieve. She made it look shiny and new! A. Lathan I highly recommend 2151 Salon! Ive been going to Samantha at 2151 Salon for a couple of years or so now, and shes the best! Shes great with color, highlights/lowlights, styles/cuts...everything. And the bonus is shes very personable, easy to talk to and funny too (as are the other stylists), so I always enjoy going there. The Salon itself is warm, inviting, and comfortable...its a great atmosphere!

Denise Weiss I called and specifically requested someone with an expert level of knowledge with regards to highlights and/or color, as well as cutting. I also said I would like to book with Steve if he was available at the Pensacola location. Micalah ignored all of my requests and booked me with her since she answered the phone. She is clearly new and far from attaining the distinction as an expert. Steve corrected her a few times while he was there, but he left at least 2 hours before she was finished. I spent 5 1/2 hours in her chair. My hair was over processed...especially the bottom back where she started. I had not had any chemicals in my hair for 1 yr and 2 months. Correcting it is out of the question because it will only damage it further. After spending 5 1/2 hours in a salon, I would expect to be ready to for the red carpet. My hair looked awful when I left due to her applying multiple hair products that were too heavy for my hair type. It wasnt even styled when I left. I should not have been there longer than 2 1/2 hours. I actually had planned to do other things after that appointment that I had to cancel. I, the customer, am the one that now has to suffer through this as a result. I watched Steve and the other stylist work magic with 4 other customers that had highlights and a cut. She should have never booked me after I specifically inquired about booking Steve. Im not happy.

Donna Gosbee Love this place! Treva is a genius at color/highlights/trim! And Patsy does a wonderful job on my Moms short permed hair. Everyone there is friendly and helpful and listens to what the customer wants. Highly recommend!

Danielle Klein Don’t judge a book by its cover! Not the fanciest or flashiest place, but the haircut is very well done. Found Patsy 2 years ago through Groupon and would not want anyone else to cut my hair. Consistently the best haircut I have ever had. Cannot say enough good things.
