They are disorganized and the majority of the instructors literally read off their slides. The school uses what is called HESI and the instructors have never taken one! They teach to their own exams and think that prepares you for the standardized HESI tests. COME AT YOUR OWN RISK! There is reason why there are few reviews and the ones that are on here are complaints. Miami International University of Art & Design - Miami Angie G.: I Attended in 2011 and the quality of education was failing very low. Although 50% of professors were amazing the rest were an embarrassment. Starting with the fashion director and fashion history professor "Mrs Parson" she was the worse. She will really show you the ugly side of fashion. and give mediocre assignments just to fill up the time. And she also baby seat a highly HDHD Stilling professor who would not teach. he will spend the 3 hour class looking at videos of Kim kardashian on YouTube and when everyone complained Mrs Parson would just tell us that maybe that wasnt the school for us. this was a 100k career that leaves you nothing Florida International University - Downtown on Brickell - Miami Giselle Quintanilla: OneStop online chat/phone for admission and registration is useless. Nobody replies on the phone ("try to call us again later").Admission chat only works in the morning on/off. Do not even try to reach them out after 1pm, you will lose your time and patience. University of Miami Leonard M. Miller School of Medicine - Miami Jesus Vallejo: I dont know if it was this school or the other one but I met a student from here. She was a cute Russian woman with a cowgirl hat. She was the most amazing person I ever met in my life. She left me in awe at how extraordinary she was just by being herself. All my life I could see beauty, but when I heard her voice I could hear it too. Ill never forget how I felt when she was leaving the club I served her at, I had to look back at her one more time. To my surprise from a distance she was staring directly into my face with her gorgeous blue eyes that were like a endless sea , a blue paradise. Almost like she knew it too.. I would never see her again. If youre reading this I hope you do great things. Florida National University - South Campus - Miami Madison Martinez: DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME! Professors do not answer the school has technical issues on their end that will not allow you to do exams and use it as an excuse to not allow you to complete it when they had a technical issue and fail you for something that is not in your control ! Very incompetent and irresponsible administration. I waited a month to get a response because my professor was informed of the issue but decided to ignore me for a month not answering any questions or email you will not learn here just cry and pay consequences for things that are not in your control. Save your money and mental health go to a school that takes your future serious ! Atlantis University - Miami Jose Rosario Terrero: Atlantis University was the best option for me and also feel like home. Spent two years here and I became a better person and better athletic. Im graduating this December 2025 in Bachelor degree in Business Administration. Also they were for me always and I need help. I really recommend any students around the world that come to Atlantis University Barry University - Miami Shores 904 CZV: What can I say: I love Barry. Even though I live way up here in Jax, I commuted down there for classes once a month. It was worth it to me. I’m in the PhD nursing program and I can say it really changed my life. Dr. Jessie Colin, who is also my chair, is the most intelligent and remarkable person I have ever met. The 5 stars is for her and how she is running the doctoral program. Thank you Dr. Colin! The rest of the nursing faculty are also wonderful. Lovely women (too many to name). I’m so glad I made the decision to come to this school. I’ve learned so much that this post would be too long to describe it all! It’s an intellectually challenging program, so be ready to learn.
This school in general really focuses on social justice. If you are not open minded to multi-culturalism and discovering new ways of thinking outside of the norm, this may not be the school for you. I tell people this because I know how the culture is in America today (ignorance is bliss). You have to accept to live the ‘Barry Life’, which is being open to culture and seeking justice for those whose voices might go unheard.
Like some say on other reviews, yes, the area in which the school is in is kinda sketchy. And be prepared, the student parking is awful. The biggest parking lot is a couple blocks away and you have to take a shuttle to get to the campus. It’s a small campus but quite beautiful.
