Learning Tree Childrens Academy - Lubbock Kendra Smith: My daughter went here from 6 weeks old to two years old and I have nothing but great things to say about her time at Learning Tree. She had wonderful teachers in each room she was moved up to, it gave me peace dropping her off at school knowing she was safe and had teachers that cared and adored her. We were so blessed to find a daycare we could trust and if I had any concerns they were very kind and open to listening.
Thank you for providing a safe, clean, and fun environment for the children you care for. Founders Classical Academy - Conroe - Conroe Diana Leija Aguirre: We have been at Founders-Conroe for 2 1/2 years. We tried to ride the wave but finally decided to leave this charter school. I had a 4th and 6th grader enrolled. Save yourself and your child from this school. My children are Excellent conduct students and never ever had a problem in any other school except here. Not all students are treated equal. They have only been open since 2021 so I believe they are not experienced enough starting with headmaster and assistant headmaster Ms. Fletcher. They have forever traumatized my child. I am in the process of putting in a complain with the TEA. Many students have left already. After the trauma my child suffered not one teacher called or emailed to check on them. I never received a warm feeling from this school. To all the staff at founders please find compassion and love for students. I pray for all students who still attend. Lake Conroe Christian Academy - Conroe Kaity Fisher: I enrolled my twin boys for preschool at Lake Conroe Christian Academy right when registration opened. I paid in full for the entire school year for both boys. As the summer passed and my boys struggled with potty training, I reached out to the school a little over two weeks before they were supposed to start. I understood their policy that the three-year-olds must be fully potty trained to be in class. I told them about my boy struggling with potty training and that we are making progress, but I wasn’t sure they would be fully potty trained by the start date. I asked if there was a flexibility or if they were firm on that. They were firm on that and I told them I inderstood so I would have to withdraw them because they wouldn’t meet the requirements. They said they were very thankful for me reaching out before the school year started so that they could get that class filled. I knew they had a pretty large waitlist.
I went to get my refund check and they would not refund two months worth of tuition for each of my boys. $700+ worth of tuition. They pointed out to me that when I signed my registration packet it states that the first month of tuition and last months of the school tuition is nonrefundable. I understand that I didn’t read thoroughly, and I really thought my boys would be fully potty trained and didn’t anticipate ever having to pull them out. My main frustration was because the school year had not even started yet (2 weeks till start time) and they had already filled my spot by the time I went to go pick up my check. If the school year had already started, I totally understand that and it is what it is. But I feel like this situation was very different and it was incredibly greedy of them to not refund my money when my boys had not stepped foot in that school one time, school had not even started, and they were very clear that there was a large waitlist so they had those spots filled immediately.
Just FYI for anyone that might possibly be in the same situation in the future.
