1 /5 Allan R: Horrible! Avoid! I was sent here after post heart surgery. Upon getting my room, I needed to use the bathroom. The bedpan was dirty, not from me. I laid in bed and started to feel heart palpitations, so I rang the nurse bell. Nobody showed. I repeated several times, and still, nobody showed. I went into the hall and found a retired nurse literally in the hall, ignoring my earlier nurse requests. I told her what I was experiencing and she checked my radial pulse. She told me my heart was out of rhythm. So now what? She had no stethoscope. I didnt see anything that looked like a medical instrument. As I got no answer I told her I was calling 911. She called 911 and I waited for paramedics to take me back to Dominican, which is where I came from just 3 or 4 hours earlier. I will never return. I doubt they have a competent staff other than people with very minimal training and maybe 1 RN per shift for lord knows how many patients.
