1 /5 Josie M.: I was recommended the salon by incredibly sweet individual. I’m in the sales industry and have to look top-tier at all times. I drove from Ontario down to Echo Park with one particular individual in mind. I had already called and made an appointment and unfortunately, I was going to be late. I called twice, and actually spoke to the owner. The owner then commented to me in a disapproving tone that her shop was not answering the phone so the calls were being directed to her cell phone. I requested for her to let her nail tech know that I would be late and if it was still OK to go in. Please remember I’m driving into LA from Ontario . After driving almost 2 hours to get my nails done i go into the salon, all the individuals there turned to look at me, but none address me. I asked for June. It literally took June 2 minutes to direct her attention to me. No one was sitting at her chair and she then addressed me letting me know that she would not be able to attend to me because I was late. I let her know that I had called in to make sure that it was still OK to go in. She simply said sorry I have two customers coming up. I politely said thank you and walked out of the salon. Every business has a right to refuse service, but this salon was one of the most unprofessional places that I’ve ever attended. I proceeded to call the owner after I left to let her know I was severely disappointed, and I felt completely disregarded after I made sure that they understood that I Lived an hour and a half away. If I drove that far, it was because I thought they were worth it. Unfortunately, they felt that their client was not worth it. They did offer to send me down with a different nail tech but by this time, I was no longer enticed to sit in someone’s chair at someone’s salon where I knew they were not going to care or appreciate me or my business. I would not recommend this salon simply because Of their disregard towards their clients. I may be a picky client but that means I’m a loyal client and that means that I will always appreciate the work and the time that is instilled in me. Your work does not go unnoticed or disregarded and I will always tip.

5 /5 Sunny Trac: I have been coming to Twin Nails and Lovely Lashes for a decade. Tanya is the boss and she always accommodates me when I want eyelash extensions and/or waxing. She is fast and literally does the best job. The whole staff there has been servicing me and my girls and family/friends for years with manicures and pedicures. They are all attentive and make every experience feel fun and also relaxing. I am happy to support small, woman-owned, person of color businesses and I would highly recommend Twin Nails and Lovely Lashes.

2 /5 Ayu Tanaka: FYI I don’t normally write reviews unless I think it is necessary… Went in for a pedicure for a vacation—was immediately sat and worked on a few minutes later. I was upsold to a gel pedi but didn’t realize it was an additional $17 to the service, I thought that it was included in the service I selected ($58). Having the pedicure itself was fine, and the person who did my nails was nice and checked multiple times if I was ok. During the service there were a few ants crawling around the seat which I flicked off. Was fairly fine with the service, though it ended up costing $84 without tip which I felt was steep given the atmosphere + bugs + the quality of items used (like the exfoliant, lotion, etc). Didn’t hit until a day later when my toe started aching. Then another one. And when I got on my flight it was hurting so bad and when I took off my sock my two of my toes were swollen, achey, and pus was coming out of it. Sadly at that point I was stuck on this flight for 14+ hours and going on trip where I will be walking a lot. My toes are getting worse and I had to go to a pharmacy in a different country I don’t know the language and get medicine for this paronychia RIP
