Lisa Grech Wilfredo and the team of mechanics at Kondo Motors are the BEST! I have gone to them for 12 years now, and even drive up from San Diego County (yes, 5 hours round trip) and have them do my car repairs, since I moved out of the area. They diagnose the issues, give an honest and clear picture of the issues and associated estimates, and fix what is needed. Sometimes they have sent me away, letting me know there is no service needed at the moment. They do not upsell things or recommend things that are not needed. They are honest, trustworthy, kind, generous, friendly, and expert mechanics and advisors. I recommend them without hesitation and appreciate everything they have done as my trusted mechanics throughout the years. I recommend that you call to schedule in advance, as they are in demand and booked out often with their happy clients, like me!

Sean Ryan Gio’s service for me was legit 10/10. I slept in late and missed texting him bc we were planning on 10am, he was polite and got there around 2pm to fix my battery after a AAA guy misdiagnosed me AND he also used technological/locksmithing abilities to resynchronize a new “indie” key set with the ones that came with the car to get it working, because sometimes Toyota would lock you out through the car computer so you have to go to the dealership and pay $$$. I will definitely be using Gio for any future issues I have and be recommending him to friends/family. (Yes this is a legit, not paid-for review haha). Thanks brother, keep grinding!

Ruba Elagazy I brought my car to Big Q Auto Repair for a routine oil change — and they damaged my car during the process. They promised to send me camera footage to show what happened, but after I followed up multiple times (6 or 7 follow-ups via phone and email), they tried to tell me that they don’t even keep footage — they only have a live feed. Which is strange considering I was promised a copy of the footage that the supervisor had reportedly already seen. Worse, they’ve refused to respond to me or my attorney, and they still won’t take responsibility or cover the cost of the damage they caused. The repair requires me changing my entire front bumper and is going to cost me over $2k. Save yourself the headache — find an honest shop that stands by their work and respects their customers. I regret ever trusting Big Q Auto Repair and hope this review saves someone else from the same experience.

Holly Dieu I love these guys. I have been coming here for years and I will not go anywhere else. They’re honest, thoughtful, great with communication, and their prices are so reasonable. They’ve come up with solutions to save my old Honda 2007 when other mechanics thought it was time to buy another car and/or pay thousands to repair it. With an old car, there are inevitably problems that come up- the difference is that J Motors helps me figure out what is truly in need of fixing and how to do so without breaking the bank. They’re also very methodical about repairs - they’ll do one thing at a time rather than full overhauls. They’ve probably saved me thousands of dollars over the years. I’ve never had better mechanics, hands down. Support this small business!

BeyondEQ International What an EXPERIENCE! My car was in and out in 45 minutes and Frank, Omar, and Andrew were so nice! I can’t recommend this place enough. Victoria Lintz I recently had a great experience with this mechanic. After calling them the night before, they were accommodating enough to allow me to bring my car in the next day. I needed new front brake pads and had an issue with my air conditioning. Not only were their prices reasonable, but they were also efficient in fixing the brakes within just a few hours. Highly recommend their services to anyone in need of reliable auto repairs!

Piper Ogilby Mario was so kind, I had a nail in my tire and he basically fixed it on the spot. I appreciate an independent shop — when I went to Firestone down the street I would’ve had to wait upwards of 3hrs. Thanks Mario !!
