1 /5 Zarina Jalil: I recently visited Rose Nails with my children, ages 10 and 11, for manicures and pedicures. According to their pricing, children 10 and under are charged a reduced rate. However, upon arrival, the salon staff insisted that my 10-year-old daughter appeared older and attempted to charge me more than the advertised rate.
I clarified that my daughter had just turned 10, but they still insisted on charging more, because she is tall and looks like a teenager. This treatment felt discriminatory and unjust. I was disappointed that despite their policy stating otherwise, they chose to assess charges based on appearance rather than age.
As a result, I chose to leave the salon. Its important that businesses do not discriminate, especially when it involves children. I hope the salon reconsiders their policy and practices to ensure fairness for all customers! I will not support a business that discriminates agents, age, race, sex or religion!
