5 /5 Donald Dawson: I am a single dad and I struggle with my daughters hair. I found my daughters hairstylist online and we love the shop. My daughter is very tender headed and her hairstylist Shara has a gentle hand. One of my biggest worries is getting my daughters hair done and it being too tight. Shara has never pulled my daughters hair too tight. If you are looking to find a stylists that will take care of your daughters hair make the trip to Renee’s uptown Salon.

5 /5 DLJ S: Cristina is fantastic! I have been going weekly for wash and blow-dry and several times a year for highlights. She is a master at a true, natural looking blonde color and hides/blends my natural dark blonde color perfectly. The way she blends my own colors allows more time between highlights which is great for my busy schedule and tight pocketbook.

5 /5 Nicole Empizo: We have been coming to Renee’s for 9 years. All of the stylists are friendly and kind. Shara is amazing and spends time making sure my daughters hair is just how she likes it. The salon is clean and inviting - we won’t go anywhere else!

1 /5 Ella Meraku: If I could give zero stars I would totally do so. I don’t usually post reviews but this one I just had to. So I’m all about supporting local businesses and helping others. My hairstylist canceled last min bc she was sick and I needed to get my roots blonde … I have a party to attend so I called Renee’s Uptown Salon. Luckily they had an opening and took me in. My hairstylist was new and I wasn’t aware of this but I was ok with it at the end because everyone has to have opportunities to learn. She started to bleach my roots which took 6 hours altogether a process that usually takes 2 hours max by my professional hairstylist. I even had to cancel my nail appointment, eyebrow wax and dinner with my boyfriend bc the hair appointment took too long. I got there at 1332 hours and left at 1917 hours. A six hour hair appointment of just bleaching my roots which is insane. When the hairstylist was bleaching my hair you could tell she was extremely inexperienced so I was patient with her on retouching missed spots waiting then retouch again and wait and so on. After she bleached all my roots and washed my hair she began to blow dry. I wash shocked because again she seemed extremely inexperienced on not knowing how to dry or style my hair. I had asked her to make my hair straight. After 1 hour and 20 min of her trying to blow dry my hair, I couldn’t take it so I asked her to give me the blow dryer and I’d dry my own hair in which she complied. I even didn’t want her to feel bad and told her that next time she’ll be a pro. I gave her the hairdryer back and I was waiting for her to straighten my hair but instead she said “alright finally we are done.” I told her that my hair is not straight and you can tell apart my own hair from my extensions. She said it looks fine and that’s how my hair is. So then I had no more patience of waiting around and said “that’s ok how much” she said “220 dollars.” I lost 6 hours of my day canceled my plans, had to dry my hair and style at home and I was charged an amount as if she was a professional. I was shocked! I’m all about helping others gain experience but it should not be at my own expense.I understand 6 hours is a long time but my roots could have been done in less than 2 hours if she knew what she was doing. I lost a lot of hours and canceled plans as well. Obviously I would not be going there again.
