5 /5 Kwade Conner: I truly feel at home at Pleasant Valley Baptist Church. From the moment I walked in, I was met with genuine love, warmth, and kindness from everyone. The sense of community here is something special—it’s not just a church, it’s a family. What stands out most is how the Word of God is preached. It’s clear, powerful, and easy to understand—no personal opinions added, no watered-down messages. Every sermon is rooted directly in Scripture, presented exactly as God intended. That’s rare to find, and it’s what makes this church so impactful in my life. I’m incredibly thankful to be part of a church where truth is preached boldly, love is shared freely, and Christ is glorified in all things.

5 /5 Joseph Huss: One of the best churches in the country! Brother Ruhl and his family are all amazing! They love the Lord and strive for excellence in their ministry... If I lived anywhere near Chico, I would go whenever the doors are open!!!

1 /5 Ryan Stirtz: Soon after I stopped dating another member of church here that had made large 10k+ donations in the past to it and just mere months after Pastor Ruhl baptized me in this church and without making any disruptions or disturbances whatsoever, pastor Ruhl asked that I not come back! I was actually asked to leave the house of GOD and not return, this was certainly NOT what Jesus would have done and NOT what a good God fearing Christian would do either. If you are seeking a place of peace and worship for our lord and savior Jesus Christ (as I did and still do elsewhere now),then I would seek another church, perhaps one where a pastor acts less like a God himself and recognizes that a house of God is open to everyone there to worship our one true God. Oh, and do NOT believe the review counts! I counted 11 people on here that gave this church acting like a house of God 1 STAR!!! and yet it lies and tells you that It only has 1 bad review, NOT TRUE! but you dont have to take my word for it, go read them and see for yourselves! SHAMEFUL!!!
