Rudi DiPrima Since I moved to Richmond a couple years ago, I have been going to these guys for maintainence and repairs. They are friendly, fast and honest. I feel lucky to have found them. I know they will take care of any repairs quickly and give me a fair price. I recommend them to anyone in the area looking for great service.

Dr. Ross A. Ramos Mike and his team are the best. I don’t go anywhere else. Had no AC and a right front running light out. I had tried a new light and new fuse. Didn’t fix the problem. Mike gave me an estimate of $430 to recharge the AC and track down the light problem. It would take about 4 hours. However my truck was ready in 1 1/2 hours and the bill was only $350. This is why I go only to Letcher Bros.

Chuck Paradis To my surprise. It was a great experience. I pass by this shop daily in my PT Cruiser without giving it a second look only because I was under the impressing they did minor automotive work such as oil changes and such. My normal mechanic is on vacation and my Cruiser suddenly started running terribly. I pulled into this shop and was greeted in a very professional manner. After a quick diagnostic. He found the problem and made the repairs within the same day. He returned the replaced parts only to find that he used the best replacement parts the market had to offer at a reasonable price. I recommend and would refer others to him.

Ned OConnor 5 stars are unusual on my reviews.. I have high standards. Clean pleasant waiting room comfortable chairs to sit in .Clean restroom in sitting area reasonable smog rates .I called and got an immediate appointment. 5 minutes after arriving my truck was in the shop.

Chuck Goettsche Ive never written a single review before. I guess it takes a lot to impress me. Well, I got to say I am very, very impressed with Magallanes Auto Repair. I needed to replace the engine on my 1997 Toyota T-100 Pickup truck. This was a big decision for me, to invest so much in a 28-year-old truck, but if you know trucks, you know this is a special truck. Having lived in California for 50 years, I discussed this repair with two of my former favorite mechanics, and on the basis of a recommendation from AAA, I talked to Magallanes. The shop manager and the front office staff treated me with respect and extreme patience as I had many, many questions about the scope of this project. My confidence in their competence grew as I learned they had been in business for decades and I appreciated that most of the workers were mature (like me) and for example I was told the mechanic who would be working on my truck had been doing this work for 40 years. Well, after much careful thought, they got the job. I can honestly say it was one of the better decisions Ive made in my life. Throughout the project, the front office kept me informed at each step of the way. As long as I was replacing the engine, I wanted to make everything right with the truck so I added service items and new front brakes. When the work was complete and I went to pick up my truck, I was delighted to learn the work came in $200 under the estimate. Not only was the work done on budget in a timely fashion, but they did extra work. It was the little things...the handbrake was adjusted, a tail light was replaced, a future likely problem with the mechanical linkage of the clutch pedal was repaired - everything was improved while my truck was in their care. If youve read this far, youre youre getting the idea that I love my truck, and I do, but I also love the people at Magallanes. Whether its routine service or a major repair I strongly recommend that you go talk to these people. Talk to Adriana or Juana in the front office, talk to Alberto the shop manager and Im sure you will come away with the feeling of confidence and trust that made me choose them for my big repair.
