Virginia D. Brooklyn is amazing. Ive been to a number of different curly stylists over the years and shes been a breath of fresh air. Shes extremely talented, dedicated to only curly hair, and really fun to chat with in the salon. I couldnt ask for a better experience. The initial consultation was awesome, she took the time to ask questions about my hair, take notes, and play around with my curls to really understand my needs before doing any cutting. Since then, everytime I come in she take a moment to see whats changed before diving in. One of my favorite things about Brooklyn is that she takes each persons hair needs into consideration and includes hair treatments in the cost of her service instead of trying to upsell. If youre looking for a curl specialist, consider Brooklyn! Shes spectacular.

Jennifer Byrne So, I found this gem when my hair got botched at a Supercuts. I was the type of girl with long hair that only get their haircut once a year. Never was an issue until IT BECAME AN ISSUE. Jasper saved me the 1st time in correcting my haircut while hanging on to as much length as possible and I was forever grateful! He explained what was wrong with it, gave me options, and really took his time with the process and styled it to perfection. The second time I sat in their chair was when I made the WORST decision by not returning. I work in SF and had virgin hair and wanted a big change so I decided to get a balayage at a salon on Polk street. My hair turned into a bumble bee with a tinge of greenish hues and awful highlighting. I was traumatized! I decided to reach out to my lifeline and made my appointment at the RIGHT salon. Not only did they have to correct a horrendous color job but also a bad haircut once again. One side was longer than the other. Mrs. Tat Tat came in for the W! She truly is an artist, magician, and hero. Thank you both so much for your patience and magic hands. I can firmly say I will NEVER go anywhere else but L’Amor Salon and you should too. You will genuinely appreciate the abilities of their entire team!!! I feel so confident, back to my usual self and ready for my 40th birthday and upcoming wedding!

Rebecca Peterson I had a lovely first appointment with Jessica Cowart. I get a pretty basic cut (basically I just get the ends of my long hair tapered). She was attentive to my pre-appointment notes and in-studio requests, and Im super happy with the cut she gave me! Plus she was very friendly and pleasant to chat with. Studio is small and whimsical, loved the atmosphere.

Jennifer Pete DJ was phenomenal! He was super friendly and professional. Most importantly, he listened to what I wanted and made recommendations on how to enhance my look. Also the BEST scalp massage of my life. I feel so glamorous! Thank you!

Rachel E This was my first time booking a curly cut with Joey, but it will not be my last. I got a hydrating mask, a toner, a trim with layers, and styling. Joey took to the time to figure out what I wanted but was able to give advice when I was choosing between two different color toners. The execution was perfection and I’m obsessed with the results. My curls look and feel better than ever and I’m struggling to keep my fingers out of my hair. Joey has a very warm personality, communicates well, and ensures that you are comfortable and cozy while getting your haircut. Little touches like having a stocked fridge and snacks, fidget toys, and an electric blanket for the back of the chair just added to the overall experience. I cannot recommend enough as this was the best overall haircut experience I have ever had.

Amanda Joseph Hands down the best experience I’ve had in a black hair, or any hair, salon. I say black hair because we ALL know the rundown when you book an appt for a press and there’s 2 people in front of you, and 2 people behind you- and two getting done while you are! Not strut! I had my OWN time slot BOTH times I visited. Once I got the curly girl deva cut by Carmen and next time I got a cut and press by Antoinette. I could go on and on, the shop is clean and intimate, and they give you a CLEAN robe to put on, they offer water... etc. i also received a hair consultation both times, and I could tell that both women are very knowledgeable about hair, true students of their craft. I am just really impressed! Highly recommend this place.

Tony López I have been a customer for 10 years. Meyda and Lorena are the best. Great service, fast, and very professional. I would recommend to make an appointment or call ahead. Prices are very reasonable! Plenty of street parking or parking lot next door. Closed on Sundays but open until late (8pm ish) Monday through Saturday.

Elizabeth Rodriguez Mr. Mark did devine justice to my hair. I asked him for the short trending haircut and he, as the professional and experienced hairstylist he is, told me it was the "Italian bob" everyone is going for. He is excellent! And so positive too, hell make you feel good about your new look, if youre looking to treat yourself, this is the place!

Don Pape Sam is my only guy. Ive been coming to him for 10+ years and I wouldnt go anywhere else.
