CHM This is the BEST shop in the bay area!! Have been here so many times, Kham and his crew have so much knowledge and skill I wouldn’t trust my family driving in a car they didn’t fix! There is no greater feeling than knowing you are in good hands, getting a good deal and not getting ripped off! Melese Getenet Dessie Ive received service at 3D Auto twice, and both experiences were excellent. The first time, I had an issue with noisy brakes, and they diagnosed and fixed the problem quickly. The second time, I had a flat tire that was also damaged, and they not only replaced the tire and broken sensor but also arranged a tow truck for me when I couldn’t drive the car in — all at a reasonable price. The repair shop is clean, well-organized, and the customer care is excellent. I highly recommend 3D Auto for reliable and reasonably priced car repair.

Joshua Posey Was driving home from my graveyard shift and suddenly experienced a rhythmic slapping sound from the engine. Couldnt see what was wrong in the dark but thankfully the car restarted later in the morning and I limped it to Sheafs a few blocks away, terrified that I couldnt afford whatever had happened. Instead, they immediately spotted a broken serpentine belt dragging under the car as I pulled in and had me repaired and back on the road in less than 3 hours, for only the price of the part plus maintenance even though I forgot to surrender my keys before I walked home. Ill definitely be keeping these guys first in mind for car repairs in the future.

Michell Thomas Brought my car in sounding like a dying lawnmower — left sounding like a confident Prius on prom night. They gave her a tune-up and now she drives so smooth. Fast, fair, and didn’t try to upsell me. Highly recommend

Carmen Veronica Justin is a great mechanic. Honest, explains everything, takes his time with each customer. It was my first time going there and I was more than satisfied. He listened to my vague description of what was wrong and found the solution. Fair prices and fast service. I would definitely recommend and I will be going back for routine maintenance from now on.

Moon Very reasonable and very honest. Took my Porsche in to replace a battery, in and out in about an hour 30. Mentioned my car needs a major tuneup soon, will definitely come back and work with them.

Akshai Wadhwani I had the recent pleasure of having Eric work on my car at Johnnys Auto Shop. He did an absolutely fantastic job. Fast, professional, communicative, and he diagnosed and offered solutions for issues with the car that I hadnt noticed myself. The second time I had to bring the car in, for the repairs he had diagnosed, he took me on 24 hours notice; this is super rare and impressive for a shop as busy as theirs. I also gleaned from talking to Eric and observing the shop that they are family- and repeat customer-oriented; they have lots of customers who have been coming to the shop for years and essentially consider Johnnys to be their family mechanic. This is always a very positive sign for the quality of the shop! They are also very friendly and suitable for folks who arent as familiar with their vehicle; Eric was extremely knowledgeable and explained things in ways that are clear and concise even to someone who doesnt know a thing about cars. I am fairly familiar with the basics of car parts, repairs, and maintenance, but still came away feeling educated by Eric and that he had equipped me with additional, vital knowledge — knowledge I have already applied to improve my own maintenance of my vehicle! Cannot recommend Johnnys, and Eric specifically, enough. They make it real easy to support your local Oakland businesses!

Tammy I started hearing a whining noise, it was the alternator. Rod & his crew are very knowledgeable & informative , I trust them, when it comes to the regular maintenance & care of my little RR beastie(lol).
