Albert Portillo John at Advantage Automotive is a busy man. However, he is a good communicator and excellent owner operator. Should you plan on visiting the shop, be sure to make an appointment. My 2008 Lexus ES350 was leaking coolant. I delivered it to John and he diagnosed and repaired the leaking water pump in a matter of days. I do recommend Advantage Automotive for the repair and service of your vehicles, just be patient. Thank you, John, for the service. Best regards.

niki curnell Excellent service and pricing. They saved me over $1100 from a quote with a previous scammy shop to replace my AC compressor and condenser. As a woman, I am frequently talked down to or taken advantage of at many shops, and that does not happen at J&J. They fit my truck into their already tight schedule quickly while I was traveling through CA and NV with my horses in hot weather. Would highly recommend. Bonus: Their shop dog, Juneau, is always ready for pets!

Russell Stabler Bill is a seasoned engineer. Knowledgeable, interesting, thorough and trustworthy. A true Mensch. He pretty much rebuilt the 30 year old AC system in my van after the old system (with the old ozone eating refrigerant) blew up. Im 66 years old and can count on one hand the times someone else other than myself worked on my vehicle. However, I have never done AC systems. There was no question of his ability and integrity. His estimate was quite reasonable and I was informed on any overrun ( hoses had to be fabricated by a different skilled tradesman). Its just nice to have someone of his caliber solving the problems. K Rick The shop and the manager have integrity. I was referred to them by my mechanic and have never used their services. And there was a bit of a miscommunication between the man who worked the counter and myself. In my previous experiences with shops, they shrug and put the burden on you as the customer. But at Certified Automotive Repair in Grass Valley they are some people that you can really trust and in the end they made sure to take care of me and compensated me. I recommend them as a 34 year resident of Grass Valley who has used many mechanics. Im on my way to pick up my vehicle from there now.
