2 /5 Jeffrey Simmons: 2/5 stars - Poor customer service, refused to provide a quote
I recently contacted Advanced Automotive to get a quote for some needed repairs on my 2007 minivan. The vehicle is currently at another shop that provided a detailed assessment and quote for the work, which seemed on the high side. To compare, I sent the itemized list of repairs (without pricing) to Advanced Automotive and two other shops to get competitive quotes.
The other shops provided quotes based on the information I sent over. However, after waiting most of the day for Advanced to respond, I called them. The representative I spoke with aggressively insisted they couldnt provide a quote without seeing the vehicle in person first. While I would normally understand this position, I tried to explain that I was simply looking for a comparison quote based on the thorough diagnostic information I had from the original shop. The rep cut me off without letting me finish my explanation.
Although Advanced Automotive may do quality work, their unresponsive communication and dismissive customer service are red flags. If this is how they treat a potential new customer asking for a quote, it raises concerns about how attentive and professional they would be if issues arose with the actual repair work. With other shops happy to provide quotes and treat customers with respect, I cant recommend Advanced Automotive based on this poor first impression.
