Beyond Fitness LA

Yiting After fighting cancer, I was eager to regain my strength and feel “normal” again. Three months of personal training with Liron made me stronger than my pre-cancer self. Group boxing lessons are also super fun and a great hybrid workout. I always look forward to the next session!

Movement Society

Peter Le Honestly, they really care about your goals and are willing to help you achieve it. I was at a low point in my life with my mental and physical health. Working out with Karl has helped me rediscover the joys of fitness and has given me so much more. He really gets down to the basics of how your body works and moves and implements workouts on strengthening your weak points without overdoing it. It is not a fast process but as you go consistently you’ll definitely see the improvements in your fitness and mobility. Definitely would recommend anyone to train here.

LA Fitness

Celestina Lucero This gym is huge, with a lot of great equipment, but it is one of the messiest gyms! Management doesn’t enforce the maintenance of weights & the overall cleanliness of the gym. You can get a good workout in, but plan for extra time, just trying to find the equipment, because it’s not where it’s supposed to be.

Golds Gym Venice

Hazar Melih Uymaz Gold’s Gym Venice is an incredible place to train. The gym is huge, with every piece of equipment you could ask for, both indoors and outdoors. The atmosphere is motivating, full of energy, and you feel surrounded by people who are serious about fitness. The staff is friendly and helpful, and the facility is kept clean and organized despite the heavy use. The outdoor workout area is especially impressive, giving a unique vibe you won’t find anywhere else. For anyone who cares about training, this is more than a gym—it’s a landmark. Visiting or becoming a member feels special, and it’s easy to see why it’s known as the Mecca of Bodybuilding.

Aroma Spa & Sports LLC

Juan Vazquez I’ve been a member here for two years. The gym is great, and the spa has become a part of my daily routine. The spa itself is well worth the price of the membership, especially if you go every day. I like using it to decompress after a long day, and to recover after a good workout. Hot/cold therapy does wonders for the mind and body. The spa facilities include two saunas, a steam room, an ice room, a warm tub, a hot tub, and a cold tub. The place is kept clean by the friendly crew, and you have access to towels, showers, and a dressing area with nice lotions and decent hair products. Ignore the reviews saying this place isn’t welcoming to people who aren’t Korean. I’ve always felt welcomed here—greeted with a smile by both the staff and fellow patrons. I can’t imagine my life without Aroma. I’ll be a member for as long as I live in Koreatown.

Los Angeles Athletic Club

Andy Terzyan This review is for the gym/ club itself, NOT the hotel. My wife and I toured the facility recently and spent the majority of the day there eating, exercising, studying, etc. LAAC is a diamond in the rough and has A LOT of potential to be even better. The gym isn’t as big as other commercial gyms in terms of the machines and workout equipment but it has everything you need. The pool is amazing and one of the deepest I’ve seen in the area. The other amenities are also awesome and it’s a great place to hang out, meet people, grab a bite or drink. The only complaint I have is that while certain areas are very upscale and have been remodeled, other areas haven’t been touched in years/ decades. If a decent amount is set aside to repaint/ remodel/ replace carpets etc. LAAC will be unmatched. Some of the higher floors dedicated to some of the work out classes/ handball and whatnot are tired and are in need to be remodeled and carpets need to be taken out. Since they are under new management, I’m staying hopeful that some of these areas will be worked on which will push LAAC to flourish for another 100 years.

Easton Gym Co

Adamm This is a very old school gym, but in a good way. No bs, just a lot of workout machines and a lot of space and it never feels super or overly crowded when I go. The staff is very nice and helpful and this is one of the few gyms in LA that has a good sauna. I was amazed that Equinox, which is like four times the price didn’t have a sauna and that’s why I ended up choosing to gym here.

24 Hour Fitness

Johnathan Reyes I had a great experience at 24 Hour Fitness! From the moment I walked in, Alejandra was incredibly welcoming and professional. She took the time to explain all the membership options clearly, answered all my questions, and made the sign-up process quick and easy. Alejandra went above and beyond to make sure I felt comfortable and confident about joining. The gym itself is clean, well-equipped, and has everything I need for my workouts. Thanks to Alejandra, I’m excited to start my fitness journey here. Highly recommend!
