Oak Park - The Home of CrossFit Los Angeles

Maxwell Morro A fantastic place to grow, get stronger and connect. They have some incredible coaches there, and I always enjoy meeting the other kind hearted members who are showing up each time. Thank you, Oak Park.

Gia Manzella Hands down the best workout in Santa Monica! Studio is clean and staff are extremely helpful. Every single instructor has amazing energy and genuinely cares about your experience! Will definitely be my new go to spot, and yes it is worth every $$$!

chocoZAP Fitness Los Angeles

Char To Cute small gym thats beginner friendly and has a lot of neat amenities like massage chair and now a washing machine. Its small but it has the perfect machines that I want to help core muscles and cardio. I really appreciate that the staff you see once in a while are great and the place is always clean

Santa Monica Family YMCA

Fouad Alkisswani Let me first say this is primarily a fitness facility - a role performed exceptionally well. Firstly, they have a sauna and steam room unlike Equinox, John Reed, and FRD, which are about double in price. Plus, a huge pool, spaces to get work done, a basketball court, a litany of classes and a great location right across from Santa Monica Main Library. My mom (who lives in VA) gifted me a membership and the online process was seamless as was final in-person registration for me. One gripe; however. We paid for a dedicated locker and it took me a day to buy an actual lock. When I went to put it on my locker, someone was using the locker. I went to the front desk and they said "just wait for whomever it is to leave." Feedback indicating that a best practice is to indicate day lockers from paid permanent lockers (all gyms Ive ever been to clearly indicate that) fell on deaf ears. They were nice; however, in how they said "we dont care." For

Row House Fitness Santa Monica

Kim Buehlmann This was my first time at the Row House and I already can’t wait to go again!! Everyone there, coaches and class goers alike, were SO nice, welcoming, and friendly. I did a Thursday night row with Coach Jackson where we spent the whole time on the erg (no weights/floor work) who kept us HYPE the whole time. The music, lighting, and singing were well worth the trip to Santa Monica. I sweat my butt off but had the best time doing it!!!

Sweat Yoga

Ashley Vincent Sweat is the best yoga studio I’ve ever been to. From the challenging and expressive workouts, to the brick wall and candle-lit ambience, to the small details that make the studio unique like the cold towel at the end of class and being able to bring your dog (you leave them in the lobby and the front desk workers keep an eye on them). I really love all this studio embodies and joined after my trial. I highly recommend trying this place out, you won’t regret it!

JOHN REED Fitness

Patrick Martin IMO top gym in Santa Monica - newer weights/equipment than Equinox and a fraction of the cost! Solid array of free weights, machines, and cardio equipment + a CrossFit training space and turf for sled work and an outdoor area to take in some of that SoCal Vitamin D! Staff up front are always helpful and friendly, and the gym is as clean as a whistle. Smoothy bar and DJ are the cherry on top! And of course, like everywhere in Santa Monica, full of fit, beautiful people! Can’t comment on the classes because they’re not my thing but seems like they have a large variety with lots going on everyday. Only gripes: no sauna, could use more intense cardio equipment like a Jacob’s Ladder or curved self powered treadmill (assault style), as well as some of the influencer types seem to leave their weights and mats on the ground and then bounce - come on people!

Phit Pro Gym

Susan Ryza Have been working out weekly with Paul at Phit Pro for almost a year & I’m really enjoying my experience. The gym is clean and comfortable, trainers are extremely friendly, has a local feel, equipped with everything I need to get a great workout & feeling benefits from my training. Plus, training with Paul is fun - I’m not sure how but I suffer & enjoy my workouts simultaneously. I’m so happy I found Phit Pro and highly recommend it!

Bay Club Santa Monica

Sheri Rose-McCashin, LMFT A pleasure to train at the Bay Club Santa Monica. Diana P. is the manager and has made it an exceptional place to train. She is a knowledgeable trainer herself as well as a hands on administrator in the fitness business for many years.I have witnessed her immediate responsiveness to members and ability to competently address their needs. The club itself provides a wonderful, clean, space with amenities. I am glad to have found this gym after the closure of the Palisades Bay Club. 1/18/2025
