1 /5 S. G.: Unfortunately Vic destroyed a family heirloom ring that was dear to me. It was an eternity band, which Vic first misplaced a bear piece upside down. Then tried to cover the mistake by gooping on some mismatched gold. In what should have been a simple sizing. His wife mentioned that he doesn’t like to be wrong, and that I should not mention the incorrect work. I ended up paying for work which ruined a ring that had been in my family for decades. When I finally did confront Vic, he denied destroying my family ring, and used foul language saying he doesn’t have time for “bulls—.” It was extremely unprofessional. It was disrespectful that Vic was unable to take responsibility for ruining an article that meant a lot to me, and one that I have had to seek the help of other jewelers to try to repair the damage. To date, no other jewelers have been willing to touch the ring in concern of causing more damage. Perhaps Vic is ok with replacing watch batteries, but I would not trust him with anything beyond. Please note from Vic’s response below, that it is clear that he has an issue with being wrong, and refuses to take responsibility. While inaccurate, arguing with a client online only further reinforces my above point.
