I went for the first time here to have Camille add some low lights to my silver/Gray hair. She nailed it! The color matched my natural color (that isnt yet gray) and its very natural looking. Auburn Custom Cycles OG Marie is the absolute best! My daughter absolutely loves her hair! We met at my place of business and she met my daughter and offered to do her hair completely on the house. Carmel L. Mooney I highly recommend Bob Rogers for a massage. I am a former massage therapist myself and also was a spa writer for 27 years so I’ve covered spas and spa treatments around the world. Yes, I am picky. Bob was unrushed in getting me acquainted with the treatment room and listening to my concerns and expectations. The ambiance was welcoming, immaculate, comfortable, professional, and relaxing. The music and warmth of the room and table were perfect. Bob delivered a truly excellent therapeutic massage in the way I requested it, for the full 90 minutes, as promised and in a thoroughly professional manner. I will be back soon and I will certainly recommend him to my circle.

Maci is so thoughtful and skilled and I feel very lucky to be able to have her do my hair! She always listens and delivers. Her assistants have also been wonderful. I even send my mom to see another stylist at sand & sage every month for her color. After she lost all her hair following brain surgery, Kendall gradually helped her grow it out healthy, and nicely colored. Couldn’t recommend Sand & sage more!

It’s so hard to even think about making an appointment and leaving my home and I called 2 places and left messages but Julie was the only one who texted me back. Her prices are reasonable and it includes wash, cut, dry and style. I told her exactly how I wanted my hair cut and provided her with images. She nailed it to a T. I loved her salon space. So warm, quiet and inviting. Plus, it was conveniently located. The products she used were wonderful. I felt so refreshed when I left her studio. It was like a spa experience! Angel Goodman I moved to the area several months ago and struggled to find "My Person" for hair. Julie was quick to respond and gave me an honest evaluation of where my hair was at. She noted that my coloring was very warm (Id been arguing with previous stylists that it looked rather orange and they denied it or didnt know how to fix it). I was so relieved to have her acknowledge this and she corrected it for me. It is the perfect shade now. She is a true artist and a wonderful person. She really listens to what I want. I always leave feeling taken care of and pretty! I am so grateful to have found her.

She fixed the color and also improved the health of my hair. She does such a great job with cut and color. My hair is beautiful and very healthy!! Laura Pedersen What a relief to find such a competent and kind person to cut/color my hair! I have thick, wavy, long hair and Jackie gave me a cut that was flattering and easy to manage. She immediately knew how to use my hair type to my advantage, and gave me layers that look full. She took my one dimensional blonde and wove in 2 other tones, making it look much more natural, and softened my root line so I didnt have to dye it so frequently. Unlike other hairstylists in my past experiences, Jackie never turned my hair orange or any other undesired color that I could barely stand to look at. Jackie has added to her beauty tools and specializes now in a newer hair coloring technique called painted hair color which is what created the results pictured above. She’s a one of a kind keeper who really puts thought and effort into your desired color and style for your tresses. I highly recommend Jackie to anyone who is looking for a knowledgeable stylist who thoroughly understands hair coloring and styling and has proven it to me time and time again.

Carol Barry Whats not to love? The owner gives incredible haircuts to both my husband and me. She listens and asks questions, then cuts and we are always pleased. She is helping me deal with letting my hair grow out "gracefully" and counsels me on products for my graying strands and offers suggestions for my super fine hair to hold a curl. Kristin is a local who shares her knowledge of other Sierra Foothill businesses - so helpful to those of us who have lived here only 4 years or so. Pizzaz is home away from home.

Britny Baker I still give four stars for this company even though I didnt have the best experience. I just moved to the area and saw this salon was fair priced and had good reviews. I went and my haircut was horrible and super uneven. Unhappy, I called and was able to speak to the owner. She was so nice and very willing to refund me. Im sure it was just something weird that occurred with my cut because they have good reviews. The owner is so nice and I couldnt believe how willing she was to make things right.

Leah Tricoli I give this Salon 5 stars! Before I had come to this Salon I had a bad experience, the salon over bleached my hair and I lost 3/4ths of my hair. My hair was dead and was breaking off every day. I came to the salon and my hair stylist put a treatment on my hair, my hair felt more than 10x better than it originally had! After that she matched a demi perminant dye to the exact color of my roots! The hair cut turned out great as well, I love the length and the style really suits my face. Its been a week and my hair still feels awesome! 10/10 would recommend! And a big thanks to the salon for helping my hair!

Kali Dilley Noel did an amazing job bleaching my hair. When you first walk in they all welcome you and offer comforts (water, coffee, etc.). They really keep up on new trends and the new ways to style and/or color dye. They explain their process and what they’re doing, it’s comforting to know what is happening to your hair. I could ask them about any hair care after the bleaching. I got the exact results I wanted and my hair doesn’t feel damaged, especially since I have been using their eco friendly shampoo and conditioner. I will be visiting them again for sure and absolutely recommend this family friend small business.

Kat Kiraly Went to 979 Hair Design looking for a professional who was willing to listen to me, what happened to my hair (it was butchered by another stylist in another salon)and how to move toward a solution. I am very happy I decided on 979! Gia is the professional who cut my hair and I felt very comfortable with her. My hair looks much better, although theres a way to go before the previous cut will grow out enough to completely fix it. Im happy!

Elizabeth A. I have the best hairdresser! Any one else Ive tried over the years has cut my hair wrong. The salon is in a great location in the historic part of town with parking in several places. They have different art exhibits rotate throughout the year and support local artists. 979 also uses and sells the Davines line of haircare products.

Chris Mootham This is where my moms hair stylist has her business. Amy is excellent and we drive 40 minutes just for her expertise. A dozen+ hairstylists with each having their own space. Beats having some tyrannical, greedy salon owner gouging people for their hard work. Quality is queen here and a relaxing atmosphere.

Bonnie Deiter Jackie is amazing. She is relocating here from Reno. Not many people can cut wavy/curly hair and give you a look that will look great left natural or straightened. She is awesome! She does walk-ins on Fridays. Glad I did!

I think it is a perfect set up she has created with her own little studio space which helps in making it a low key relaxing experience.

Mersades Crocker I hate getting my hair done. A lot of women enjoy it but for some reason sitting in a chair for three hours is just hard for me. When I stepped into illegally blonde I immediately got excited. Tori was so joyful when I walked in that her good energy rolled off onto me. I was torn between the color I wanted and she asked me to trust her and that she had a custom color just for me in mind. Hours past and she let me watch a show on my phone also made sure I was comfortable. I also suffer from chronic neck pain and she made sure when washing my hair to be so careful with my neck which meant a lot to me. Once the color was all done I was shocked and so happy with the way it turned out!! It was the perfect mocha, cinnamon brown that complimented all of my features. She was so patient and so sweet and is truly a professional. I have never loved my hair so much and next time I will be willing to sit still for three hours knowing that this will be the outcome. I get compliments all the time and absolutely am in love with the color and the service I received!!! Thank you Tori for the best salon visit I have ever had!

Bill Horbaly Our family has had our hair cuts and styling from Chris for many years. She listens, makes suggestions and everyone in our family is happy with the results. She is fabulous with kids, definitely her specialty. We have gone again and again and dont even consider other places. We have many friends who use Chris as well. She requires reservations and it is best to bring cash, but she does take a few other forms of payment. Its best to ask in advance if not paying cash. If you are not in Auburn, Chris is worth the drive.
