Bella T As a former hairstylist, I’ve had a lot of stylists cut my hair and no one has EVER cut my hair like Jana! I grew up with pin straight hair until my 20s when the front got curly. Jana cut my hair in a way that enhanced and evened out the different textures in my hair and I’m OBSESSED! Not to mention the fact that she wasn’t afraid to do short layers and gave me the shag of my dreams (that every other stylist I talked to said wasn’t possible). The other stylists I’ve met there are also lovely and very talented. It’s one of the few places I’d consider a safe place with genuine people. I could go on about my experience, but I would recommend them to anyone looking for a salon that’s educated on alternative hair.

Daryl Phill I had such a great experience with Blush and Braids Beauty Bar WA location. I do not wear a lot of makeup and wanted to have a more natural glam look. I loved their intro process for requesting an appointment. They asked all the right questions about typical skin care and makeup routine and what your vision is. I feel like it helped me better understand what I wanted lol. My MU artist was Katie and she was so patient and helpful with my trial. My makeup was exactly what I wanted and more! I didn’t have to do any touch ups throughout the afternoon/evening and i definitely cried a couple times lol. I felt so beautiful start to finish! Customer for life right here!

Sarah Ripley She did such a good job with my hair, it is exactly what im looking for! She also gave me a long amazing scalm massage as she washed and rinsed my hair. I will definitely go back. The only negative I would say is since she has plants in the frount window there are some sugar ants in that area. But for the price and the quality I highly recommend ❤️

Amanda, the owner, did an incredible job—precise, stylish, and exactly what I wanted. Beyond that, her salon is absolutely charming, equipped with top-tier tools that not only make the stylists’ jobs easier but also elevate the entire experience. You can tell she puts care into every detail, from the ambiance to the craftsmanship. If you’re looking for a place that truly delivers, this is it. 10/10, highly recommend!

Jessica Zahnow This salon is so charming and cool - seated at the foot of 30th street hill in a beautiful location. Jill is fantastic and always makes sure I leave happy. My hair is on the thinner side and Jill always makes me look great. Not only is she talented, you will leave with a new friend. Theres no one in Tacoma Jill doesnt know. Shes a one-of-a kind stylist and human. Book with her today - youll be so happy you did!

Lacy Dove I’ve been going to this salon for years for color, cut, and styling and Robin and Charla are the best! Their coloring is gorgeous and I never know what hair style I want but their suggestions always have me leaving feeling pretty amazing. They listen and give thoughtful input. And the salon environment is fun, roomy, and inviting. I couldn’t ask for a better experience and certainly won’t go anywhere else for as long as they’ll have me!

Nina Kate at Kalon Salon does a great job on my curly hair. I have thick 2B curls and I’m very picky about how I like it cut. I followed Kate to Tacoma from North Gate. It took me years to find the right stylist for my hair and Kate is worth every minute of the drive south. She is knowledgeable about curls and really understands how to work with different hair types. I highly recommend her!

kryttyka Wow, Mia did an amazing job! I absolutely love the color, the cut, and the style. This was my first time dyeing almost 85% of my hair, and Im very happy with the results. The service was affordable and the Mia was incredibly friendly and gave me such a warm treatment. Ive been a loyal customer since 2020, and I just love going there!
