1 /5 Kyle Pritz: Church leadership hasn’t changed since it used to be Mars Hill Tacoma and the playbook of abuse remains the same.
Our family began to shun and slander us in 2015. We tried to go through a reconciliation process that was recommended BY RESURRECTION CHURCH. Our family simply refused over and over again, yet they were never held to any kind of discipline, even though the husband was leading a bible study at the time, and they still continued to slander and shun us. Eventually Resurrection essentially laid blame fully on us, called us liars and began to shun us themselves. I believe this is because the we criticized them for their failures to us and they didn’ like hearing the truth about themselves.
The facts always remained clear, we sought out the church’s help when our family shunned us and specifically tried to keep it secret within the family. We willingly sought and paid (a lot) reconciliation counseling and with 3rd party conciliators. Our family specifically refused multiple times over the course of a year and Resurrection did nothing about that even though they recommended these 3rd party conciliators we paid for to us. We somehow received the blame and were called liars even though we have the paper trail for all of this.
Do not go to this church. There are other obvious reasons why not to (Bubba paid for the church with money from the Mars Hill global fund, a fund specifically described for use to fund churches outside the US).
