5 /5 Kristina Comitale: Today was my second time visiting this church and I feel compelled to leave a review. The homily was fantastic (relating JRR Tolkiens Lord of the Rings to Biblical themes, challenging parishioners to focus on God instead of everything the sinful world sells to us). The parishioners sing hymns in Latin (or Greek?) which is very moving. I have never attended a church where parishioners sang in such cohesive worship. I was moved to tears and certainly felt the Holy Spirit thriving. I truly felt the presence of the Lord in that church. Thank you to the priests/leaders who make up this church. 5 /5 Joseph Miller: Holy Parish. Father Lappe and Father Nehnevaj seek holiness not only for themselves but for us parishioners. Having attended dozens of parishes across the country through my life, I have to say Our Lady Star of the Sea parish stands out in so many ways. For starters, the homilies incorporate the depth of the Catholic tradition drawing from Saint stories and writings, practical wisdom, todays moral issues in America, and frequent challenges to us laity. The Liturgy is solemn and beautiful. I once noticed we had roughly 20 altar servers (not that numbers should be sought as an end but points to a reverence shared among the families). The people are so welcoming and friendly. It is apparent that the laity seek to live out their faith in their demeanor and participation in the dozens of ministries. Well worth the 30 minute drive with our kids every week. 10/10.

5 /5 Jerry Miranda: The best Catholic Church in Kitsap. They offer classes, counseling, education, and a lot of family events. A great place for religious services. Mass on Sunday is 8:00 AM, 11:00 AM, and 5:00 PM. Saturday mass is 5:00 PM. Private school available.

Our pastor is exceptional—faithful, compassionate, and deeply committed to guiding our parish family closer to Christ. His homilies are both inspiring and thought-provoking, rooted in Scripture and Catholic tradition. This church offers a beautiful blend of traditional worship, including reverent liturgies and devotions, which I deeply appreciate. Beyond the Mass, this parish is alive with a variety of spiritual and educational activities. There are numerous formation programs for all ages—children, teens, and adults—providing opportunities to grow in faith and understanding. One of the most striking aspects of this parish is the helpful and friendly staff. They are always welcoming and go above and beyond to ensure everyone feels at home, whether it’s your first time visiting or you’ve been attending for years. Their dedication to service enhances the warm, communal atmosphere of the church. The parish also excels in fostering a sense of community through events, ministries, and outreach programs. Whether it’s Bible studies, youth groups, or service projects, there’s always a way to get involved and live out our faith in action. If you’re looking for a church that nurtures both the spiritual and communal aspects of Catholic life, I wholeheartedly recommend this parish. It’s a place where tradition meets a vibrant, engaged community, and where you can truly experience the fullness of the Catholic faith.

5 /5 Jenn Fitzgerald: Beautiful larger Catholic church in downtown Bremerton. Live closer to Holy Trinity but attending a mass here is always enjoyable and special.
