5 /5 Manuel Ybarra: My family and I have attended this church for approximately 8 years, and we have felt welcome and that this is the place God wants us to be from day one! We love the warmth, sense of community and family atmosphere here. This church strives to reach and serve its community. The bible study groups are diverse, with classes for all ages, and relationships, i.e, youth, teens, young adults, singles, and married couples etc. The bible preaching is solid, and you hear what you need to hear from God through the ministry of those in the church.

5 /5 Evelyn Phillips: What an inviting place this church is! When we first went we were greeted warmly and invited in to an open and friendly atmosphere. When we settled in for services there were viewing screens for the music and for the readings from the Bible. The preaching hour was well organized and easy to follow, even as first time guests. At the end of services people were friendly and glad to have us there. Several people stopped and chatted with us, inviting us to return to the evening services. All in all, we felt wanted, welcome and at ease. I would recommend it as a good place to worship with friendly people who have given this church a “Come on in and join us” atmosphere worth checking out. That first visit really impressed us; after a few visits we joined as members and the feeling of belonging has always remained. So, do stop in and visit this church some time. We think you would enjoy being there, too.

5 /5 Gerald Waters: Large church with a small church atmosphere. My son (9 yrs old) felt right at home as if it was our church we worship in back in Texas. We were up from Texas for a family visit. I would be worshipping here if I lived in the greater Tacoma/Lakewood community.

5 /5 Wayne North: What a great church. From the first time we visited First Baptist Church of Lakewood WA 3 years ago, we felt at home. We were not treated as guests but as a part of the church family. It is a church for every age group. It is large enough to provide worship and activities for everyone but not so large that we would get lost. Our Senior Pastor, Walt Kellcy, does not know a stranger.
