5 /5 Noah Taylor: I really enjoyed it. Felt Gods presence in the worship songs. Great sermon as well. It didnt feel like a business first, and its a church or the San Diego mega-churches that are such a negative vibe.
I have been to churches where they go over quarterly and annual reports during service as a church body and if earnings arent where they should be you can count on that third Sunday guilt session sermon to ensure we see getting our cut of everybodys paycheck.
Calvary Chapel didnt pass the plates or even mention tithing or donating.
I also wasnt seized upon as a new face by the "greeter" or "welcome team," aka the lead generators and closers at the San Diego mega churches.
No one asked for my email or tried to make an appointment with me. It was just a great service, and I hope to make it back soon.
